I'd say stay prone and peace fora couple of seconds if you miss a shot. Conceal shot is a very slow way to do it, but until you get to counter-sniping 3 there aren't many better ways.

Yes, you do gain XP by using conceal shot. But be carefull. If your too close to whatever your attacking, they'll notice you and aggro you. Try to be more than 50m away if possible. As well, if you miss more than a couple of times, your at risk of drawing aggro. If your gonna use conceal shot, try to do it when your kneeling or prone. Standing seems to increase the chances of getting aggro.

im new to rifleman and was wondering if some1 could teach me how to make a conceal shot macro.

My Concealshot macro is:

/concealshot;

/concealshot;

/concealshot;

A looping macro will just fill the queue with Concealshots. I can just do that by pressing the button constantly, so why bother looping it. There is no need for a /peace in the the macro and, unless you know the timing, all /peace is going to do is keep clearing the queue. If you simply do /Concealshot;/Peace, nine out of ten times the peace will clear the queue before the concealshot fires. You would need at least /Concealshot;/Pause 1;/Peace for this to work, and even then, you may need to make the pause longer to get it to work.

My way, ensures that there is always time to queue up more concealshots or to hit peace if necessary. I queue up the three, watch to see if there are any misses. If it does not die by the time the second one fires, I queue up three more, and repeat the process, never letting it get below a couple of queued shots. That way, there is virtually no chance that I will inadvertently go to autofire.

Now, I found that being prone and at my rifle's optimum range meant that I rarely missed, especially at higher levels of Rifleman. Thus after a while, I did not waste time with /Aim. Now that I am a master and have had to give up Ranged support for other skills, I do not really need it, and I cannot use it anyway. However, you may find it helpful at earlier stages of Rifleman to add /AIM's to your macro to ensure you miss less often. That would look like this:

/Aim;

/Concealshot;

/Aim;

/Concealshot;

/Aim;

/Concealshot;

Of course, the same principles apply as above, but with the /Aim, you get even more time to watch and evealuate what to do next.

As mentioned by others, Concealshot takes a while to kill things. The /Aim's will make it take even longer, but I found Concealshot to be a very helpful tool in leveling, allowing you to take out targets you otherwise could not.

FlushingShot2 is popular for Grinding XP because it is a4x damage, Random PoolArea Attack as opposed to ConcealShots 2x Damage Random pool Single Target attack.. It just maximises your XP gain v's Ham Costs / Time spent. It's especially effective if you have something or someone to Tank for you while you use it.

One small correction: I believe that Concealshot is 2.5x damage, not 2.0. Otherwise, Onichi, as usual, is right on the mark. Hitting multiple targets for 4x damage vs. single targets for 2.5x damage is much more efficient. Also, Concealshot has a delay multiplier of 3x whereas Flushingshot2 has a delay multiplier of 2.6x. Thus, you are not only hitting multiple targets for significantly more damage per shot, you are firing the shot faster.

For conceal shot:
1. Find a very low HAM laser rifle
2. prone from 60m away
3. /maskscent (if a creature)
4. have a macro for /aim; /concealshot; on a button
5. mash that button like 20 times
6. /peace if you miss for 10 sec then repeat step 5

Make a quick dress macro for your armor. Take your armor off to lower HAM costs while you are conceal shooting. If you do get agro, hit the button for you armor, /warningshot, and /burstrun (especially if you are soloing an enranged rancor).

Spamming /concealshot is easiest. I only use /peace if my target moves out of range so I can reset. I don't want to inadvertently thorw a regular attack and pull aggro, especially when taking down targets way above my weight class.

Hehe, Concealshot at Master is the most overpowered special in the game, simply because of its nature.

Just spam Conceals and have Peace hotkeyed on the toolbar if you miss one. And be ready to run.

And when the embers cool

None will be left standing.
