Thread: Wunna know what PvP is like now?
AldeonAvardulin Just let Tek be, he's obviously not going to say "Oh hey, Aldeon is right.. I give up now" It's not going to happen. So... just roll with the punches, any person that is a "public" figure is going to get this type of treatment for better or worse, while he may be wrong... or even worse, right, it is up to you to decide what you take from it, not him. He (once again, obviously) doesn't understand or hasn't fully expiremented with the rifleman class, and saying that he has played XX hours and not become master rifleman is a farce, I got it withen a week of starting the game so it's not "that hard". Anyhow, just let it be, you'll get this more often than not unfortunately, but as is the nature of MMO's and public speakers, it's your fault because your name is a different color than ours.
PS. My biggest beef is the T21 not being fixed, /cry.
Also, on a sidenote, we are rifleman, not "snipers" so please please drop the real life references, this is fantasy and while our skill tree names may indicate "sniper", we aren't snipers and never will be in SWG.

If I'm not mistaken, our in game title is "Sharpshooter", whose connotations are extremely similar to those of "Sniper". Thus our class is a misnomer, twould seem.
It's one of many titles, *shrug*
Saying .. "because my title says "Sniper" I should be able to shoot from >64 meters and one shot all players" is almost as silly as saying "because my title says "Master Sharpshooter" I should never miss a shot!"
Either way though, I know I'm not going to change his mind, nor most others so I'm not too worried about it, I just hope for a t21 fix and keep on keepin` on.
Yes, Snipers travel in twos... sorta. Only one man had the gun, the other is a spotter/Ammo-boy. I don't see an elite-marksman Spotter class coming up any time soon to support us. =p
I despise them hard. But we shold have more range period. Being limited to 64m ruins the whole concept.
Aldeon said that MindShots were nerfed with the patch. But hunting today, my Mindshots were all still working well. Were they only nerfed in PvP? Even if you only get one that's a few hundred points strong, stacking MS1 and MS2 on them will make htem hurt in a hurry. Chances are good that even if a pistoleer can incap you, he won't be able to deliver that deathblow before his mind bleeds out.
A word on the titles..has anyone noticed that the title for the Concealment column is "Hunter?" (at least according to the skills page). Why does Rifleman have the only duplicate title? Or is that simply a bug in the new patch?

You are wrong, and in all honesty totally out of grips with how things are being done in a game.
What you should do is to cancel the rifleman line and join one of the super cool range lines who has it all.
I really fail to see why you wanna play such a broken line, and all your negative thrashing of what is probably the best profession correspondant in the game.
let me tell you something that obviously escapes you.
Riflemen can hit and dot MIND, you know that line that cant be healed.
In group combat you rock as a rifleman, and solo if you know how to play.
what you should have done with your 3 shots was to go to 64 mtrs. mindhot2 mindshot1 and then run to 74 meters and hold that until he gets really low, or sits down.
Everyone knows that knockdown/dizzy combo is totally broken (also after patch), but if something is really broken itl get fixed, i dunno why you cant understand that and thinks it works to piss othre players off
So please unlearn your rifleskill and go to a uber range class. thanks

tek, i wont shut my mouth cause you have again no clue what you are talking about. i repeat myself again: disarmshot 2 has an aoe knockdown component and a pistoleer gets it at master pistoleer title, disarmshot 1 is a skill you gain once you have access to INTERMEDIATE PISTOL STANCES AND GRIPS and does currently nothing and is just bugged. trust me i know what im talking about cause i have this skill on my char. dont believe everything people tell you or post logs showing that DISARMSHOT 1 knocked you down.
