Why does everyone think Riflemen need a 3 sec speed cap? For someone who is a riflemen you must be new to the profession. Give us a 3 sec speed cap and we might as well not go to the advanced planets.

What a BS idea. I almost demand that pistoleers be running left/right aligned properly with the planet to fire their specials. Or that commandos take 30 full seconds to set up their equipment....

Maybe you should READ the posts before that first moron, what's so godlike about being able to kill someone with nerfed buffs and armor in only 2 shots with a T21? Huh? You do know we'll be lucky to have buffs that buff even 1000 points after they nerf them right? And we'll be lucky to have any player crafted armor with resists over 35% right? Now tell me, with 35% energy resists, and say about 2100 mind, how many masterhead shots with a 600+ max T21 would it take to kill the person?

Time to look for some krayt tissue to make a 600+ T21. Its only time on my server I see one over 600 without a powerup.

I know, every ranged profession can only get a CDEF type weapon!!! Yaaa that rocks. That way the little furry EWOKS and Dancers/strippers,can kill us all or bring down our Tie fighters......Sounds good to me..yup, cant wait.


May you die over and over again in game and once out

You have to be kidding me, even with fixing specials so they did something would mean nothing... ya, fix disarming shot so it acts like a warcry, oh wait, warcry is useless now... ya, fix stopping shot so it stops people (by KD or posture change), oh wait, we already get lowblow which does the same thing (smuggler skill, yes, but it may as well be a pistoleer skill because you need smuggler to be able to compete using pistols)... oh let's see, what else, oh ya, how about fixing out othermelee KD, ya, that's useful in the first place... hmmm, health shot 3, bah, nevermind, it's health shot which is 100% useless. Right, "fix" pistoleer, we all know how amazing that'll be. Oh how about they give us more speed, higher then the 1 shot per sec cap, but wait, the devs said once per second is as fast as it can handle, no chance of that happening.


You're really dense if you figure balance will come completely from within pistoleer itself without riflemen being changed too... seeing as we're all at the speed cap, and the speed cap can't be lowered anymore, something's got to give so we get the advantage we were meant to get in that catagory.

Personally if Disarming shot did actually get fixed back to the way it used to be (targetting a person's weapon and ruining it -- but that made people cry because their precious million-credit weapons were getting busted) I could die happy knowing that even though I did jack sh*t to the person in damage, I at least took a chunk of their "super Jawa" with me.


I'm not here to fight about who should rule PvP.


A rifleman and a pistoleer spend the exact same amount of points. Whatever gets done, I should stand the same chance on a battlefield as a rifleman. Do I want to win fights? No. Well, maybe every now and then it would be nice, but it's not what I'm after. If I was, I would have just spent the additional X skill points that I have to spend to be as good as a rifleman (odd that to be just as effective I have to spend more points?). I mastered 2 additional professions. They're a sacrifice of battle strength for battle recovery. I'd like it to mean something. Any profession with a mind hit gets to ignore it.


Once it's fixed there'll be no issue. But that's down the road. So I want to see what "intermediate" fixes are done to 'balance' this.
