Interesting.
Could you please try this with a laser rifle? Since T-21 and Laser Rifle (and DLT20a) are all energy it would provide a useful test.
Im willing to say that the jawa ion damage (stun?) is bugged.
Also, could you get screenshots of the stats of your E-11 and Jawa Ion?
Id like to see what the AP rating and damage type is for them.

Aldeon, dont bother posting screen shots. I met with a few guild-mates and we tested it out. Your completely right. AP, while providing bonuses against unarmored NPC's, provides NO bonus to unarmored PC's.
AP vs armored opponents, however, works as normal.
I was almost positive that it did work against unarmored opponents. Did it get changed with the damage patch? Or perhaps I was so assured that it WAS working against unarmored PC's (due to it working with NPC's and armored PC's) that i just assumed it was occuring.
Aldeon, this has baffled me and all of my PA that were at the experiement (were almost all riflemen and BH's).
You have GOT to add this to the top of the list on the next letter to the devs, along with the T-21 fix. Between these two bugs we are losing almost HALF of our damage ability in combat. Thats un-real. You would be doing an excellent service to rifleman by getting this adressed.
Additionally, id add as a note to the bottom of the request that if this is the way AP is SUPPOSED to be working in PvP that they SERIOUSLY re-consider it, as it is the ONLY thing that rifleman have to keep their heads above water.
People seem to be blanketing a possible weapon specific problem.

Aye, i did miss it. Ive always thought of this as a "given" and apparently so do most others.
One of the BIGGEST advantages rifleman have is our ability to have high AP weapons. We have 2 weapons that are AP 2 and one that is (supposed to be) AP 3. Having these weapons do NOTHING against unarmored targets is extremely disconcerting.
Aldeon, i seriously hope you pound this issue home in the next letter. Our T-21's will do 75% more damage ACROSS THE BOARD if you can get this AP issue and the T-21 fixed.
I recomend you write something like:
"If this IS supposed to be the way PvP works i seriously recomend you re-consider. AP is the only thing keeping the rifleman proffesion's head above water. By taking away that ability to do AP damage you are effectively halfing the damage output of the PvP rifleman."
That should, hopefully, get the desired effect.
The reason its a huge issue in PvE, is becuase mobs will have energy resists (T21 damage type) Therefore making it worthless compared to other weapons. (E11 or Laser Rifle)
im glad our RIFLEMEN CORRESPODENT does not know that a LASER RIFLE DOES ENERGY DMG.

I was not wrong at all. My point was that the T-21 being broken DOES have an impact on us. I then proved it by showing that against ALL monsters (both armored and unarmored) were doing 75% less damage. I also proved that we are doing 75% less damage in combat with armored PC's. The only FACET of the issue I was mistaken on was PvP vs unarmored targets.
Therefore, 3/4 of the facets i represented were correct. If you weight it by importance.. 9/10 of what was important, i got correct (since everyone has a helmet in PvP). By proving that we are taking a 75% reduction in damage against 90% of our enemies.. i think i won that debate.
If you honestly think im going to apologize to Aldeon and go: "Your right, T-21 isnt a problem. We should just let it sit the way it is"... your smoking WAY to much crack.
SpecialForces, the Jawa Ion does Stun damage, not heat. That kinda sounds bad when you bash someone about damage type and you don't even get it right yourself...
TekDragon, actually AR is also broken in some cases in PvE. I discussed it in another post, but basically if you attack an AR0 enemy with an energy type weapon and energy is not listed as any resistance or effectiveness on the enemy's examine window, the damage will just be 100% and you will not get the AR bonus. I tested that prepatch on Greater Womp Rats near Mos Eisley. I believe this problem is related to the AR broken against unarmored in PvP and that both would be solved by the same fix.
