"i dont think that TK or any other profession should really gain any new skills but improve upon the ones they already have."
That's what was suggest yep. Once you reach the title of TK High Master from TKM you then have a choice of becoming very proficient in 1 of the 4 lines that TKMs Learn.
Example once you reach TK HM you have a choice of becoming a meditative expert, Power Techniques Expert, Precision Striking Expert or a Balance Conditioning Expert. If you were to choose the Meditation lines to grand master thiswould further enhance the regeneration rates and could possibly be the defence lines of the Teras Kasi. It makes sense in a way a Teras Kasi master learns to cure themself through meditation and becoming even better at it can actually begin to resist these states.

It's not gonna be very long before we get a few jedi. Then a few more and a few more and pretty soon everyone will have grinded up the FS trees till there is nothing but a bunch of jedi running about the place. The rarity of the jedi will be shatterd.

First off I really think skills should be gained on many in small increments and not in 2 large jumps(HM and GM). Also i do not think that only one of the professions skills should be enhanced when going above master. It just doesnt sound like a "Grand Master" to be proficient in just one of his skills.

Rather than having new title's or something like that along the lines discribed in first post there is a simpler way for soe to implement changes. There should be an option upon completion of 24 slots in fs rather than going to jedi it allows you to open a skill box of 4 slots that you can start training in. Each non jedi profession would 1 new skill box that could be trained in. Upon completing 6 fs trees instead of jedi you can get option of being to train in any 4 of the new skill boxes. LIke I say all the non jedi professions would get 1 new one of 4 slots.
Now completing fs would only allow you to head in this direction you would still need large amounts of exp to get these new skills. Ultimately I see no reason why they could not make near as hard to level thes up as jedi in return would give abilities that match you in power to any jedi. No reason other professions cant be as powerful if the exp requirements were as hard. At least this way make more sense then having everybody becoming jedi to becomeuber and add variety to combat professions.
For naysayers that think this would not be in spirt of star wars universe this game has already gotton so far off base nothing they do now gonna change that.

Anything to expand the current professions would be all i asked. This is just an idea that i'd like to see. Btw Just because you're a grand master dosen't mean you've learnt everything. People who have training in martial arts most of their life still train to be better. Don't let master make you think you've nothing to learn.

Hi,
That is an awesome idea. (Im already dreaming about it)
Perhaps better title name though. High Master doesn't sound so good.Too over-stated. Should sound more humble.
Teras Kasi CLERIC
Teras Kasi ADEPT
Teras Kasi "DAGGER" (is taked by Nightsisters)
Teras Kasi SAVANT
Teras Kasi SAGE
(Big Cheese or equivalent in a modernist term)
Teras Kasi DEFILER (?)
Then once you completed that particular line, you are granted ...
Teras Kasi Grand Master
Hows that?

And then when you do grand master you get bored and want ultra master, then later you want super duper master... Adding extra grinding to professions isn't going to satisfy anyone. That's not where we need more content.

No of course not. We've got combat rebalances and lots of nerfing to come yet. I can't agree with you assuming i'm some child who just wants more and more. This thread was started, i liked the idea and added my own opinions on it. The idea was brought about because of the FS quests alot of people will be aiming for jedi. This idea was suggested as a way to keep alot of those people from going to jedi. Whether it would work or not i've stated this would be something to keep me from going to jedi. That's my friend is thereason i belive this to be a good idea.

that's what i've been saying, players only want content and whatever they think will make them "more uber" will seem like a great idea. I find it interesting that most of the people who are asking for a "grand master" title are also seeking Jedi. I'm not, besides what happenes if they make a grand master title for Teras Kasi, then add Kensai (Sword Saint ) for Swordsman, Lance Master for Pikeman, or Legendary Fencer titles..... when you start seeing things like Headhit4 with a uber Scythe, The DOTS from a exceptional pike that tic for 1000 per hit, or ScatterHit4 with an acklay stun baton?
Then the cries would go from "nerf this or that" to "give us a new title + stronger abilities."
With this suggestion, skill progression would never end, and the Developers would reach the point where they become hard pressed to find a benefit to the multi-million point grind.....

That's a valid point. I'm not asking for new attacks though. Just a way to specalize on one line of a profession. Like you do anywhere. You learn a trade and you specalize on a perticular aspect of that trade.

I'd like to see grandmasters have the ability to channel their energies into damage types. Only available without a vibroknuckler for some balance. Maybe it could be /powerBoost2.
Overall I guess I'd like to see an expanded usage of the Teras Kasi Artist's spirituality training. T'would be cool.
Edit: While we are making a wish list... How about making Meditation experience. You gain from meditating, and only while you are regenerating. Better still, give us temples to meditate in. Regen goes faster in temple (kinda like med centers for monks)

Not just Teras Kasi or that would be unfair. Every profession specailizing on a single aspect of their prefession would help to stop all these Teras Kasi Masters from all being the same. It's sorta irritating that you can look at anyone wearing a Teras Kasi tag and say i'm not better or worse than them. Variety would be very nice in professions.
