Sorry Hawkenz...

Aldeon said that some of the posts were deleted and that I misread the first one as yours when it is not. My apologies.

My stance on the issuesis still the same:
1)I think the problem lies with the devs willingness to communicate regularly
2) I happen to believe that replacing Aldeon is a bad idea.
3) I agree with you on our problems.

Aldeon... how does that star rating thing work? I've never heard that explained before.... and have never used it. Please Reply...

If a post gets alot of 5 stars, it means a dev has a higher chance of reading it, as I understand. Also on a side note, if a post gets multiple one stars, Im not sure the number, the post is deleted.

Oh yeah, your damage in PvP with that gun (using strafe 2) should be 600-1612, not including AR bonuses.

Okay...this i know for sure...the majorityrifflemen that say that our profession is not really that nerfed are mainly at master level. This has been mentioned on many many other posts, even before this patch. I have yet to find a Master Riffleman ranting...

But please please do not say that other combat professions(pistoleers, BH, etc...) have the same disadvantages:

1) Rifle Speed: I can usually get off about one shot before the target is on me, unless i used that feather shooter sprayer of mine.

2) You might as well have the same chance to winning the lottery as hitting with a riffle at point blank

3)2.x melee modifier bonus for enemies when ur holding a rifle

4) Major mind costs on elite specials

5) Movement penalties now...since we more likely shoot from a distant and kite

6) Lack of the T21 on some servers

And others...such as morphing creatures, agros, etc... etc...

So for those Masters out there, please understand why we Novices and Experts are frustrated...

The damage Ald posted is WITH the 75% PvP damage reduction. That's what you'll be hitting for using strafe2 in PvP. 1K+ damage will one-shot anyone without good doctor buffs, or pretty much anyone if you get a lucky head hit. Note again that this is -AE-.

I agree the rifleman class is not solely composed of masters.

-But neither is it solely composed of non-masters-.

When you are talking about balance, you must consider the spectrum rather than your specific point. Our point is that master riflemen are NOT gimped in any way. Therefore, if you want to propose a fix, it has to be a fix that primarily or solely benefit lower levels of riflemen, but NOT master riflemen. Furthermore, you have to make sure the entire curve is 'balanced'. As I said before, if lower levels of rifle is as easy as every other weapons AND master rifle is more powerful, everyone will eventually end up using a rifle.

So from now on, we should only make suggestions that affect master rifleman.

Gotcha. I am sure the 99% of the population that aren't master rifleman and the 75% that never will be, will be entirely happy with your thought process.

God that nearly brang a tear to my eye.

Heres a tip for the non-masters, use the T21 for Mind Shots, you know those 2 free shots you get when your kneeling? Then switch to a speed sliced/power up DLT20a, or Jawa Ion, or E11. These 3 rifles tend to be pretty fast, especially speed sliced, and 30 percent speed power up. Now what you do is send your CL 15 pet on the mob, yes everyone should have one of these if your leveling, the reason is, becuase right now, we take 2.5x damage becuase we have a rifle out, wich is pretty much, bull, but hey we have to adapt, and learn ways around it. Now you shoot with your DLT20a, that has a speed of 3.0 with a good slice, and decent power up.

Also what you do is, use your single target flurry shot, nearly every rifleman has this one. Doesnt take much to get it, but if you dont your probably doing banthas, and they dont move very fast. Then you use suppression fire, it will fall down if it charges you. And it will get back up to fight your pet, falling down. Now it should die.

Or another tip is, get a group and use your highest damage style, and fastest weapon. Also, dont forget about the spray stick.

What you need to think about is not just novice rifleman, but both novice and master rifleman. Suggesting something that makes a novice rifleman that much better, may just make a master rifleman 20 times better, and over powered at that.

Apparently reading comprehension is a dying art. I said that when you are talking about balance, you have to talk about the entire spectrum. Yes, this includes master rifleman, but it is not EXCLUSIVELY master rifleman. Whatever changes you propose has to consider the effects on the master rifleman, and if it's too overpowering, it's a bad change.

The other problem is.. You look at master and go.. Bah too powerful, well you've just gimped the novice Till he spends the 3 weeks to get to master. That's the problem. It's wicked hard to balance. I say stop changing **edit** and fix the bugs.
