Then all of his tests and examples will come to fruition. I mean honestly, the bulk of our prof is, sadly, the FoTM bandwagonner's that just enjoy using a few specials to kill and no tactics or imagination at all (I'm sorta this way thanks to too much PvE'ing compared to PvP) so he'll only run into a few problems.

What the supression fire thingy?


So I'm down for 10 seconds, you deal 1K damage to me(most of wich I heal because of high Willpowerstats), I'm back up.


So then I KD dizzy you, and right before you get back up slap a Blind and Intimidate on ya and wail away.


And just incase, I equilibreum all the mind damage away to my healable pools(Ya the human Stat bug is nice, but with Food and Buffs I can get the same effect as a Zeabark)


-If your talking about Flushing Shot yes that sucker can be an issue, Stun Sucks but I believe you can heal that state away too.

Yeah,there is pretty much no way to stop from getting owned by a melee class 1 on 1 with just rifle. If your gonna be a ranged profession like rifleman, you pretty much have to have dabble or master a melee prof as well to stand a chance.PVP is still all about the KD and dizzy. If your only a rifleman,a fencer or TKM will just laugh as you spam flurry shot and supression fire to try and stop them. Once they get in range and either knock you down or lunge you, your burst run is gone and you might as well forget about any chance of trying to kite them.

Doctors can cure almost all but the most potent venom enhanced poisons with cureB pack. For the enhanced they use a C. For unenhanced they usually use just A's. 1 on 1 a CM is useless against a doc. Against a group we keep you busy with area poisons and pray that ANY combat class doesn't notice us as we have no defense types whatsoever from mastering CM.

Heres my little template that gives these guys a bad time,


Master Rifle, master fencer, pistoleer 1-0-4-0, novice med(got tapes for speed and aiming)


With the defence it provides (to dizzy, blind, kd,), It all adds up to u cant stop the inevidable...

I've thought of this combo Master Fencer/Pistoleer/Rifleman0-4-4-0


Ranged, Melee, Dodge all maxxed out at 125, and Blind, dizzy, hell everything protection

I think I could take a doc/fencer. Nothing is stopping me from wearing the same 40% stun armor and 40% PSG, which will stop even more damage from the fencer.I'd intimidate and stun him, thenI'd put a bunch of poisons/diseases on him with my pikes(note - dodge does not stop states or dots like poison/disease), which would force him to waste time curing them all, and I could keep this up trying to get the dizzy+kd on him, at which point I could switch to my jawa ion rifle to finish him off. And if I was really uber leet I'd have some kind of krayt jawa rifle with huge damage, or some looted jawa that has a mind fire or something like that. But you would not be able to sit in Theed for hours, trust me. It would take a group of maybe3 to kill you. 2 rifleman headshotting you and one tkm headhitting you or trying to dizzy +kd you, not to mention making sure you are intimidated, stunned, and blinded.


Also, it seems they have fixed the shifting stats thing for PSG's by adding in vulnerabilities to them, which is unfortunate because Kinetic was a vulnerability on mine, so a TKM just knocked me down and pummeled my mind. Which could be another problem for you, if a TKM lands a dizzy+kd and pummels your mind, even with 80% kinetic resists I think their dps still outdoes the other melee professions. I believe Antares has a post on that somewhere. Not to mention if they get a hold of the new knucklers their damage will increase.


But, I'd agree that a fencer/doc is a very formiddable opponent, and would probably be one of the better combinations. Although, I think a rifleman/doc would do better since they can put out much more damage, and with the same set of armor and buffs the rifleman/doc would be able to ride out that dizzy+kd, or try to cure it with the doctor skills.

before the era of super enhancing foods, fencers had to meter their offence carefully or they would exhaust themselves and be very vulnerable.


Now, with brandy and canape, a fencer can stay on the offensive with the stun baton indefinitely. This made a big difference I think. They can also make themselves even more difficult to KD now... nigh impossible to KD for the most part.


Best bet is to keep them blind and intimidated and bleeding and go with your best stuff after that.

Yes this is true. HoweverI ran test last night with my other character. 1 was a master fencer/master tka. With Thak, I could not be knocked down. I just stood there and let him beat on me. 5 minutes later we quit. The blind is your best shot. You simply are not going to kd dizzy me.. I have run 5 tests now. Not even my md/mcm could be knocked down and he has no defensive bonuses. I think the kd dizzy should have been taken out a long time ago and know it appears to have been effectively nerfed. Blind is another matter. While I hate it, it can at least be self healed if you are a doc. The KD/Dizzy combo could not..


So for 12minutes no KD for you...
