Harpoon,

Kudos to you for not using exploits to dupe credits or other advantages. I wish more people in the game would go that route.

A great way to earn money is through mining. Get a harvester or two and (a generator if you do not have a source to buy energy for the harvesters)and find out what crafters want. If you can afford the skill points, get Novice Artisan so you can survey. You can then work deals with crafters to sell them what you mine at a reasonable rate, or you can sell it on the bazaar.

If you cannot afford the points for Novice artisan, work a deal with the people to whom you are sellingto get a waypoint to the resources they want.

And if you cannot do that, then try working a deal with people to lease your lots for mining. If you find the right deal, they will provide you with the harvesters, and will generally manage them themselves. All you need to do is to be available once a week or so to move them and to put the owner on the admin list. For that, they will generally give you a percentage of the take or pay youa flat rate. This also has the advantage that they will find the resources themselves.

wow its getting a bit rough in here

ok thanks - i actually have all 4 levels of surveying from earlier attempts at energy harvesting/mining, i ended up quitting that due to hit and miss at the bazzar with no buyers or being undercut. I will probalby try again this time with heavier extractors. I didnt think about the lot renting thing... that would seem like a nice source of income with minimal involvement. I dont know if people still do that.. it would be too easy for the person renting their lots to steal 10 heavy mineral extractors and either sell them off or start up their own operation.

no, unarmoured counts as AR0. With every level of armour piercing a weapon has over an armourrating the weapon gets 25% more damage (and AR3 T-21 would be doing 75% bonous damage agaisnt an AR0)

with armour then number is 50% reduction of damage per AR level above the weapon's AP level.

I tested this. Extra damage from armor piercing only applies in PVE.

I shoot an unarmored person with a jawa ion, the combat spam says 250, the floaty number says 250, and she's down 250 mind. There is no bonus damage.

Wow. **edit**. So if you are going to get hit with an AR3 T-21 it's better to have no armour on than have Armour Rating 1?

If you don't prepare for battle then how do you expectto beat someone who has spent more time and many more skillpoints on their profession? If you aren't ready to buy brandy to pvp and they don't do it and expect to win, especially against a master BH lol. BH's should almost always win, some other professions have a good chance if they are prepared and in the right conditions, and riflemen is one of those.

If you have less than 56% energy resist then you take more damage from a T21 than you would without armor.

With AR2weapons you only take extra damage if you have less than 25% resist, and for AR0/1 weapons you will never take more damage with armor than without.

well my alt made master rifle master doc and now i have most points in mind becuase i can buff myself. but i also know if you are PVPing and are not using food / drinnk/ or spice, you will drop as a rifleman faster. i use 1 mind food,2mind drink, and 1 KD Defence food and if i wanted to spam headShot3, i could wihtout losing any mind at all. to each his own, but while PVPing i never go without food and drink. they are so much better now, give it a try. (i never use spice unless needed because of the downtime. )

i use a comp helm with 86% base

i use a jawa ion rifle with 620ish max dmg

there is no way a BH spamming eyeshot can kill a rifleman if the rifleman is prepared for battle.

Wabbit.. i dont understand the tusken fort comment, once you are master you dont need Xp and you are only wasting money and weapon condition by hunting tuskens...

Eaca, Wabbit and others.. where do you get the money for all this? Blowing off 800k without a problem on buffs without any return money? AT-STs dont work in PvE any more, I didn't exploit/dupe those millions of credits during that period 4 months ago, I don't have a whole guild backing me, I don't ebay money, and I'm not a master crafter of some sort (nor would I have the grinding time or the skill points to be one)

There's a reason I have piket slayer extrordinaire in my sig. I kill a LOT of pikets. I mean a LOT of them. Yes I blow 800k on buffs, wouldn't say without return tho, I mean I do have fun, which has to count for something... Also I use the buffs I buy to kill the pikets faster. Lately I've become a bigger fan of Mokk missions if you can get them, and an improved job market town on dantooine is great, pikets can make 100-150k/hr, Mokks 250-300k/hr no prob. No exploits needed, just gotta be willing to pay the price for power.

Sorry to go off topic, but...I WANT WOOKIEE ARMOR!

Anywho! Even without armor, BHs aren't much of a problem if you have some food on ya. Master Rifleman then take on that BH, it'll be a big difference.

the fort tuscan comment was to prove how valuable armor is... and didn't you know tuscans are rich... i'll walk outta there with an extra 50k... that and they are fun to kill...

money is easy to get in this game... i have no guild, have never duped anything... 20k bolma missions are easy... but money comes from scouting skills... 77cpu endor wolly hide and 100+ cpu ava meat...

also as i said before the things i hunt will eat me in one bite... i have sold one pearl and have a couple more for decoration... just get a good hunting partner and kill a few krytes pearls run 3-4 on radiant, others are much higher... rancor bile is a nice income maker, 10k a jar for the 5/70 stuff... harrower bones i can get a million credits for (easy to kill, just the spawn/loot rate sucks)... i used to sell resources, just got sick of the shifts we had for awhile made good money doing that... heck if you are really hard up sell some FP going rate is like 105 cpu... lvl 100 missions give about 200 FP...

money is easy to make in the game, there are enough ppl throwing it around... look at your trade forums see what ppl want... talk to the doc's, BE's, Chefs, ect. see what they need... then go and get it either the resources or hide/meat... heck just sit in coronet for 5 mins you'll know what everyone and their mother is looking to buy... heck the hot items now are the new themepark items... run those a few times and sell them as you go...
