I would hate for our valid concerns to get lost over here since the devs will prolly only be reading the main thread in the discussion forum.
I can't stress it enough, if you (riflemen)are scared (and we have reason to be) then don't hide in the dark here. Go let everyone know! But don't just cry to them, offer some suggestions to go with it.
Also, I would like to note that Noules is especialy good at coming up with solid data. You should see the accuracy gimmick he put in the pistoleer forum.

Rifleman have posted numerous messages on the Discussion Forums. Even the correspondent has posted numerous messages.
Problem is, Devs never respond. We're simply ignored.
This latest post only shows that the Devs are really not listening to the Rifleman community whatsoever.
I did Iodan but there are far more people going on about eyeshot than most other things.
I REALLY hope they've forgotten a pistol nerf somewhere in there, I just don't see why a class with no disadvantages at all should outdamage / beat a class with major disadvantages (Melee, HAM cost, awful at novice, hard to obtain guns, poor in groups early on etc..).
I also think lowering the pistol speed cap to .5 is insane.
Does this dev even know how fast people run? Cover is almost pointless because they will be on top of you so quickly, the only way I can see this working is by giving riflemen 1 hit kills, which we all know creates a massive whine factor.
Well one we didn't really get fixed, I"m not going to say that we are broken more since well we don't know what they will use to balance us out after a few months of "investigating". So what commandoes do range damage now yipee now my 1 shot death vs them is normal damage instead of freakishly painful, they are keeping eyeshot, just moving it and then nerfing the one that is there...well if BH's can fire twice as fast that better be one hell of a nerf before master BH's realize that eyeshot is great. Melee are going to be able to do even more damage, so if we take advantage of our accuracy "fix" and sit on our asses in cover we will die from 1 hit from a sword specialist
But we get to do special combo moves!!!
Great seeing how if we miss it becomes moot, ifthey even out our damage an 8 move combo will be useless since we better as hell get a 1 shot kill, even if they don't up our damage we have to hit them often enough to get the combo up to 8...then use it so why should we take about a minute to max our combo slot seeing how a 20 v 20 fight doesnt even last that long, and those combo's dont really look too appetizing. Plus they destroy it themselves by allowing you to cancel them out meaning that ever shot we get our combo will be nocked out (plus -1000 health) thank to pistol spam. Great fix guys, for the next patch how about you ram an angry racoon up my Bothan's ass and give me a new DX 85 pea shooter as a rifle, will do about the same difference for us.
The overall idea could work and add a level of depth the game has been missing. It's some good changes for most professions but I don't like the Riflemen proposals, they wont work unless there's extra modification to the Riflemen profession.
I'm going to post my thoughts on the thread.
No, a novice won't be firing every 12 seconds... a 6 second weapon would then fire at <4 seconds for a novice rifleman, and fire at 3 seconds for a master rifleman... little difference in dps, and really noreason at all to be a master. These proposed changes would effectively kill off allmaster riflemen unless they did something like come out with a weapon that was something like 450-1500 for master riflemen or made massive changes to our special attacks. Maybe they read the "we want to be snipers" whining from the apprentice sharpshooters on this board, and will be upping our damage appropriately.. one can only hope, and hope that they do it at the same time they make these delay changes.
Knowing them they'll probably be completely clueless and raise our min delay to 3 seconds, and then say well you wanted lower ham costs so now we'll lower them to 1/3rd.. which won't matter really since we'll be firing so **edit** slow anyhow and barely using any ham.
0.5 seconds for pistoleer and 3 seconds for rifleman is ridiculous..I admit thatmaster pistoleers do puny damage currently at master vs. a master rifleman, butif they really wanted to balance pistoleers and fencers they shouldhave just added in a chance for themto double attack or upped the specials they get at master, or added in some more debuffs to their specials... instead it looks like they are going to make this completely new system which will **edit** everyone other than pistol wielders who will be soloing ancient canyon krayts, and dark jedi continuouslyuntil they figure out how to balance things.

Actually that begs the question from me, aren't pistols supposed to be useless except in close range either a pistol or hand to hand situation? I mean aren't the most standard issue guns given out either considered a carbine or a rifle? I mean the only pistols I've heard of are given to officers, and they basically dont do much killing hell that is just for looks or in case a fighter gets too close/mutiny anyway right?
