Im with Aden on this one...If they can damage mind so well, they should drain mind....Seriously, Eyeshot basically makes almost all of our tree obsolete.

I think pistoleers and maybe BHs are going to get their dues, from all the discussion from Raph saying that you shouldn't compare your profession to pistoleers since they are overpowered, it indicates some changes will be coming to those overpowered moves everyone so desires.

JESUS PEOPLE! Why does everyone always defend BH's??!? The class is totally out of **edit**ing control! Dont give me your bull**edit** about how many points it takes I dont give a **edit**.

Mind Shot needs to go entirely. GONE! Or reduce it to the point where is useful to just take out exhausted rifleman or medics. This **edit** about a BH being able to damage every pool is massive amounts is complete **edit**. Then add on to this **edit**ing KDs and you have a class that is OUT OF **edit**ING CONTROL.

This theory that BH need to be the most powerful PVP class needs to just **edit**ing go to. Maybe one on one. I am okay with that. If you lose to a BH one on one everytime fine because its what they are supposed to be good at. But nooooooooooooo. You regularly see BH's stomping through battles wasting several people and or pets, they stop to stim themselves and move on. What about soldiers? Are "soldier" classes meant to just be meat for the grinder?

In fact you know what? I got the perfect fix for BH's. BAN THEM FROM FACTIONS All TOGETHER. It's for the most part a neutral profession to begin with so lets take the next logical step. Or even better! BH's are more "evil" than anything right? NO MORE REBEL BH'S! YAY! Let's see how **edit**ing fast they would get balanced after that **edit**.

One more thing while I am at it...

All of you people that keep saying "BH marks have this... and BH marks have this resistance" SHUT THE **edit** UP! The Marks need to be balanced too. I am tired of BH's saying they HAVE TO BE UBER l337 to handle missions that 75% of them dont do to **edit**ing begin with.

As I see it the bounty hunter has one advantage over rifleman in getting to master quicker.
Bh master takes 70,550 combat xp. Rifleman master takes 415,000 combat xp. and that doesn't include marksman's support line, which all rifleman have taken.

See I think what we are really addressing here is a fundamental flaw in the Bounty Hunter design. They made the Bounty Hunters into SuperSoldiers, probably because as soon as SWG was announced everyone who DIDN'T want to be a Jedi said, "I want to be a Bounty Hunter!" Well, no, actually they said "w00t!!! i m goin 2b bounty hhunter and roxx joo n00b!! LOL!!111" But you get the idea.

Anyhow, they made Bounty Hunters better Soldiers than the Soldier classes (which I think of as Elite Marksmen Professions). Bounty Hunters should only be able to score quick, decisive victories over non-Elite Marksmen, but they were given the power to rock everyone. I see that as "Concept Failure" in the Bounty Hunter department.

I've always felt that Bounty Hunters should be a lot more like Snipers than Gunfighters. But then again, Riflemen don't even get to be like Snipers. Heh.

The real problem with BH vs Rifleman is that defensive modifiers do not work well enough or do not work at all.

If you look at the BH tree you'll notice that they get no Ranged Defense at all. They should be easy to hit compared to a rifleman, especially a covered rifleman.

In my experience, a BH can hit a covered rifleman nearly 100% of the time because all our Ranged Defense mods and our Cover skill amount to a hill of beans and Block doesn't work at all.

Until they fix defense skill, BH's will be gods because their one weakness (no defense skills) doesn't matter.

Eyeshot is action driven.

My numbers show eyshot at around 3.1 damge multiplier (unknown delay at the moment), and that's with body shot3 at 2.5, or body shot 2 at 2.1.

So, if you use a 200 max scatter (dmg sliced), you can get a hit for 350 without a special. WIth eyeshot, you can land upwards of 1000+ with a top-end gun and a lucky hit. Now, that's before the 75% reduction..with reduction that's about 250ish, with a powerup, maybe ~300 a hit, every second + of course blind.

Rifleman have a built-in limiter in that they cannot spam styles like carbineer/pistoleer, who can use a stim, or be stim'd, to regain all the lost action. Probably 75% of the time I use a stim in combat it's to regain action for continued spamming of specials. So, while you can't healrifle damage, they can't spam their styles to some degree (unless wicked buffed). I see this as pretty self-limiting.

Bounty hunters do spend almost all their points to get these good specials, I suppose they do need some carrot to make that insane point expenditure not a complete waste. I think the theme of BH is to be overall good at fighting any combatant. Not necessarily the best at each, but certainly capable of taking out a doctor/medic/combat medic. Otherwise, with so few leftover points, they'd never stand a chance against any self-healing combos out there (especially the master-level ones). That's just a guess on my part...PvP has been so much KD spam that real tactics/perfomance seems to be hidden.

Thanks for the numbers Jaegen. While I agree that BH need something, it is hard to accept they should out damage us in mind damage while using action.

Jaegen, the numbers don't quite work that way.

Your base weapon stats are multiplied by 1.5 for auto attacks.

So a 60-100 pistol will do auto attacks in the 90-150 range.

After that, each special has a multiplier over the auto attacks damage (which si again 1.5 times the listed stats).

Over the auto attacks damage here are the damage mult of a few special shots:

Body Shot 1: dmg 1.5

Body Shot 2: dmg 2.0

Eye Shot: dmg 3.0 (before last week's patch, I'm not sure if it was changed then)

Headshot 1: 1.5

Headshot 2: 2.5

Headshot 3: 3.0

So a BH with a pistil 100-150 will do 450-675 using eye shot. If the gun is 30% damage sliced with a 31% powerup (putting it at 170-255 base stats), his eye shot will do 765-1147 in PvE and 191-287 in PvP. (those numbers are not counting AR piercing or armor wearing).
