Thread: The sad state of the T-21
Please stop all this complaining please. I know rifles need a boost but dont compare them with each other! They can simply nerf Laser Rifle. Have you ever thought about this?
I think all rifles DLT20a---T21 need a boost.
Just for reference, my current weapons, sliced, no powerups (I never use 'em)
Spraystick - 20-211 (AR0), 2.0sec, 14/43/43 (never use specials, usually use it when farming low-mid level creatures with no armor/resists,for resources/xp). I usually hit for 80-250
E11 Rifle - 107-204 (AR2), 4.8sec, 12/22/36 (this is what I use for blasting out specials for long fights). Consistent base damage 200-400 (without specials, before AR calc)
T21 Rifle - 117-320 (AR3), 6.2sec, 43/36/78 (only used for one-shot kills or bleeds).
DLT20a - 120-194 (AR0), 5.7sec, 14/29/26 (don't use it much anymore, too slow, low damage, but good HAM costs)
I don't think I even own a laser rifle, unless its hanging on my wall as deco.
We can't wear armor... but we just got rings! And that wookieeroar might come in handy with the +20 mind buff...
But we DO get bowcasters.
I love my 'caster.

You have been slain by a Dark Side Initiate. (clone)... ow. I didn't even get to hear his light saber (blue?).
The T21 is a great gun... the AP3 (when armor/dmg calcs are working) is great... The consistent damage has me hooked (the laser rifle can hit for humiliatingly low dmg...).
That and my 'caster are the most used rifles in my lineup. I keep a jawa and a spraystick on hand... and if the tusken is made kinetic (as the TC notes indicated it would be), then I'll feel a lot better about carrying one around.
Just a quick note about the commandos....I'm not one btw....but...
1) They take alot more skills points to achieve Novice than a rifleman
2) Most of their weapons special abilities can only be used at 18 m or less from a target.
3) Those 1200-3500 dmg weapons buddy saw are not 2.0 speed, and even if they are...they only have a limit amount of use (like 20 shots) and cost about 80k to buy. Usually these are used only against AT-STs.
Long story short...SWG isn't about balance....why should a rifleman be balanced out with a BH? That doesn't make any sense at all. Especially not when someone put 5 times the amount of time into their BH or 3 - 4 times the amount of time into a Commando only to have them balanced out with a profession you could achieve Novice inin a day or two? How the hell does that make any sense?
If you ask me...the game is totally screwed and all this crying bloody hell for nerfing and balancing is just stupid. They'll eventually even everyone out, but still leave the skill point system in place. Who is going to want to spend 167 or whatever skill points on a Bh when they could have spent the 30 or 40 on a rifleman? Ya that makes sense.
O ya...and the T21 does suck ass....my server just got it 3 weeks ago and after waiting that long for it only to see how bad it ripped, I needless to say bailed on Rifleman.
And next time you scream about balance....think about asking them to balance out skill points too....I know I'm getting pretty sick of being nerfed every patch but yet I have no extra skill points to put into anything else to compensate....real smart planning SOE.

Once you have read my assessment, please come back and THEN tellus why BHs take more time. Especially those only looking for big bonuses.
I takes almost no time to master marksman and scout. 3 weeks at the most, but I've been working on Rifleman for 2 or 3 months, and am only about halfway. How is that balance? It's imbalance.

You make like rifleman are helpless or something.
Yet I see them one shotting things in PvE and PvP.
Try grouping in PvP next time.. so ya know you can stay prone while your friends give you cover fire?

I just use the laser rifle, a pet, Mind shot I & II, and spam Head Shot II.
My pets can last a weak bleed and when that weak bleed is over I apply another bleed if the MOB is still standing. When I get AOE attacks I'll just send my pet to Rush a lair and Spam AOE's untill every MOB is dead.
Before I was A CH, ISpammed Concealshot wich took Hours, used my laser then too.(lower HAM consumption) If the laer's HAM was to high(Like it would be fighting DJM) I used the good ol DL20a or even CDEF rifle. <- couple hour battle
make sure you check the floaty damage. The T21 will do 25% more damage due to armor piercing, but only in PvE right now
