Thread: there is no nerf. drop it already.

Do they chant while beating themselves over the head with a wooden board ala monty python? If not then I am starting to get a great bit of distrust for this hokey religion.
*that is what is changing next patch. looks like fixes not nerfs to me. so will all the newbie trolls please stop the "OMG the sky is falling posts"*
What an idiotic post. If you have forgot already, SOE put no mention of the current state of DOTs nor the silent nerf to chargeshot on the last release notes.
IF anything they have just resorted to silent nerfs because they know otherwise it would cause quite an uproar.
Rifleman is not out of the woods.
Nice try tho.
they may not list the nerf, but we all fear its there.
they always have secret changes with every patch.
look at what has been done this patch and not listed. example. bleeds fixed, but random pool hit with primary attack.
or pool effects more random. most creatures with large ham pools now end up lossing equally from all pools

if u look at today's hotfixes it shows a fix for the random bleed pool.
the things people call "silent nerfs" are bugs that were not expected or not caught on TC or just werent high enough in criticality to cause the patch to be delayed.
if your going to look for conspiracies in things your going to lead a miserable life.

|_____ Folks, I am a Professional thread highjacker, please do NOT try this at home... At work is fine
But basing the complete argument on the fact that "they didn't say anything about nerfs in the patch notes for a publish that is at elast a month away" is just b_ll**edit**.
There have been plenty of nerfs in the latest publish. NERFS, not bugs. Stuff they deliberately changed, and won't change back.
Anyone who has been playing this game for a while should have learned enouhg not to trust the patch notes. They are incomplete, inaccurate, and they do not tell you everything that get's changed. And often enough, they don't tell you what is nerfed. Ask carabineers about chargeshot if you doubt it.
Yes Barb, you could still be right. In fact I hope you are.
But IMHO your argument is naive, weak and wrong. No offence, but the facts from more than 6 months of SOE publishes just speak against your argumentation.
5 Stars for the most constructive post in the whole thread.

yeah we know they are at times innacurate but in general the things that change they dont announce are unintentional side effects of not really being able to test changes and how they affect the live servers. once we are able to character copy over a lot more folks me included will be testing our specific professions and these things wont happen as much.
carbines have not had any attention to date. publish 7 will take care of part of this. and publish 8 will change how HAM affects combat. publish 7 looks like a good thing for carbineers to me.
as for publish8 no one knows... but i see little sense in running around in a blind panic worrying about it till the changes are announced. we cant even really make suggestions yet on it since we have no idea what they are intending to do.
my original post was more to point out the silliness of worrying about things we dont know. i think our profession is better served by understanding how our skills interact with other professions and skills and then making feedback based on that understanding.
one thing i would like to comment on is that i see a LOT of people making wild claims about how we have so-called stealth nerfs and a lot of times the people that originate those claims havent even read the current patch notes and dont know for sure that something is a bug or not intended and they dont bother to read the TC forum for known bugs and issues. a god example is the claim that bleeds are stealth nerfed to hit random pools. that is a bug not a nerf. CH claimed that pets standing on us and pets running all over was a stealth nerf. the day after the patch the devs made a post saying this would be fixed in the CH forum itself in response to another poster, this rumour still persists. all three of these issues were addressed ina hotfix today... if it ws a nerf i doubt the devs would bother to hot-fix it. another good example is over in the jedi forums people are STILL claiming that there is a jedi-unlocking stealth nerf and right above that post are numerous posts about happy folks who had just unlocked their slots...
take the panic from the un-informed for what its worth and dont work urself up into a frenzy from the loonatic fringers.
