Thread: This is what needs NERFED!!
Where did you read that? Linky please. And finally. God I miss the old days (I was still low in the tree even) of PvP when people couldn't wear a full suit of composite armor and the armor wasn't even that good. Spamming specials normally meant stopping to heal 4 times in 10 seconds and.../sigh nostalgia, she is a bitter mistress.

After the combat rebalance everything will change. Every normal player will be given a 4th unbuffable HAM bar that specials will drain from, similar to a Jedi's Force Bar. This will mean that you cant just sit there and spam Advanced Strafe constantly for hours on end, or any other specials for that matter. That will eliminate this problem.
Health and Action. They get the multiplier too. Unless he uses buffs... have we caught up yet?

2 Brandy Drinks @411 +Focus/+Mind/+Will power for +811 to all mind related stats.
1 Pixie for Ham/Action... +1000 health and like +900 action +misc stats (roughly..something similar to that anyway)
Whats to stop him from spamming Strafe-2 again?
TY Fred........... Exaclty.... There will be a balance without the Doc buffs. If you put everything into your mind... even though your mind loses no Pool points.....The damage multiplier of a HAM cost on the gun you are shooting will still Take chunks of your Health and Action away..... Thus limiting you to spamming so much, and making your Health and action pools more vunerable to the enemy attacks. You wont be able to eat anymore food to buff up your Health and action pools, cuz you are filled up from boosting your mind.
Or, the flip side is:
You even it out.... eat a bit for all parts of your HAM... so you still lose a little bit of Health Action and Mind... but very little. The buff system here should be Food...Drink....and spice. Not doctor buffs.
This will also make Chefs more popular.......and more ofa need in the community. And as i said above before...will enable Creature Handlers to use pets in PvP again...
I say again.......DEV's Get rid of the BUFFING SYSTEM by Docs.........it is ruining the game.
Klaw or TH if you read this thread... PLEASE pass it on somehow....

100k for buffs? NOT far off now. Some Master Doc was charging 50k for a rez and 25k for buffs outside the new Ggeonosian Lab last week. All I could say was "No thank, I'll clone" when I died at his feet and he said 50k.
Meaning no disrespect, but Docs charge what they charge for a reason. If you charge that much for a rez, then that helps to cut down on the tells that you get from people who say, "D()()d....BUfF M3!!".
Believe me, even with a novice doc title on for 1 minute, then taking it off and putting up the medic tag, I still got a ton of tells. Also, you don't want toget there, rez the person, have them be a 0201 marksman, who gives you 200 credits. It costs a lot of cash to buy good resources for our stims and buff packs. for health D's, for example, it can be up to 120 cpu for good avian meat of certain servers!!
You can easily drop about 1.5 million in creds for resources in a month, which you may get back in about 2 months worth of buffing, unless you have a huge stockplie / second account.
also, not to sound like a jerk, but rezzing is a service. If someone wants to be rezzed, they can pay or go to the cloning center. If you were in teh Doc's position, being annoyed constantly with few resources, would you charge 2k for a rez, or would you charge what you could get?
While a lot of good points are being made, I disagree that it is buffing that is the main problem. Yes, that is part of it, but the bigger problem isarmor. Ignoring regen for a moment, a buffed and unarmored 3K HAM pool can only take 30 hits averaging 100 damage per hit, but a 700 HAM pool hiding behind armor that only lets through 20 damage per hit can take 35 hits. Now, put that 3K HAM pool behind that armor, and it will take 150 hits before the HAM is depleted.
This is one of the biggest reasons for the nerf cry to Rifleman. Pistoleers, prior to the Sonic blaster, would hit people in full composite armor and only get 20 points of damage per shot. We can easily average 100 - 200 point hits against the hardest to buff pool, mind, even when they are wearing full composite armor if it does not have stun protection and we use the Jawa. Take away the armor or reduce its effectiveness, and the buffing would not be as big of an issue.
