I half-expected this. The main thing they need to do is make Rooted break on contact. Otherwise, if people build their templates right, they can take down Rifleman with ease because our attacks are so draining. With /cover, it'll make things very interesting too

so is it the rooting that is the issue? I would think that is most of it... But I also think using higher damage specials that we can use while standing then our standing special is the other part.

a victory in PvP doesn't mean that is all ok


generally i win when i duel and i do that with many different weapons/templates


also i'm not saying that rifleman is crap, i'm just saying that seem to me, and by the tests i ran that it's offence is not where is supposed to be, carab can probably put out moredps and with better defence/corwd control



the problem of sniper shot is not to be prone or not, i think is right that to use it a rifleman have to prone, but by its real effectiveness... i do 3k damage too in PvE but if in the sime time i use it i can do 3.2k damage whitout be prone and with more versatility here that this shot is not so good during combat and work well only as opening/ambush shot.



i agree that conceal can become e really powerfull skill, it all depends how is implemented, but still it is just a tree, not a master box so with just a cople of SP everyone can grab it...

if a carab does way more damage will be better to master it and use conceal with carabs, i will end with a very versaitle template with best damage, AOE capacity, good crowd control and nice defence... and of course the capability to hide and shot under cover as well as a rifleman

Remember that 50 range they have?


we have 15 meters more, so you go carbs, or as you said carabs, and ill drill you in the face with my rifle while you can't reach me


carabs... sounds like a train or a transport...nice...

yes but we don't know how will really work


i'm under cover and i conceal shot my enemy... what are the chances that he spot me? what are the mods? if he will run near he will discover me? can he /target me and just ignore conceal? i have to not move at all to stay concealed? if someone will hurt me will break my conceal? pets on guard will attack me regardless of it?


these are all things that can make conceal an uber skill or an useless one


and still it is just a tree so even if it will be a very good skills (and the only really worth) averyone will grab just the tree whitout be a rifleman... a sort of what happened to BH, an year ago there where few MBHs but many MPistol with just BPistol

i don't even use cover and conceal, but if you have even tried it in the CU you would shut up.

because i have used it... and .... never mind...

current /tar riflemanname = they can target you while under coverand shoot you - this is a bug as far as I know

I suspect that once every shot other then conceal shot breaks cover and the partical effects being visible that cover will still be useful but not overpowering as it is now.

The rooting is going away from us completely I think... they want us to use our speed reducer (kneecap shot)

today i lost a duel with a very good rifleman just because i was not buffed and he was

i had a pistol template, so 30m less than a rifle


it dependsby the whole template and by your stategy, if he root or slow you then maybe that 15m will not make a big difference....also carab root atm is not working.

aaa i used conceal on TC and..... is bugged

yesterday i become a ghost and was running around totally invisible, today i crash to desktop everytime, i don't know what conceal you tried.

and i have crushed pistoliers even at close range, when they had the drop on me, because i initially tried to run away, and root him, but he rooted me first, and i was 20 meters away, so i decided to dig in, and i crushed him.

Sometimes you have tohold the lineand bring up points to weapon certs along with other issues that are drastically changing the game.


Put it this way, the Ranger correspondent just recently put up enough a fight with the CU that the developers FINALLY caved in and allowed for ham increases at BOTH Scout and Ranger trees. Believe me - I have been taking heads. I just think that pissing off the people you are trying to get favors from is suicidal. HeadRoll - you need to gain some perspective here. I am one of the ones that has argued for AOE attacks, Ways to break feign death prenerf etc. Currently I am fighting a war in three forums related to things I can't even bring to you all yet. (ask roscannon orzawif the issue I can't talk about is uber bad) There is an issue the CU members of our team know of that has not been introduced into test center yet that is game breaking to us. This is consuming a major portion of my time and I would point out so far we have done well with what we have asked for using my method. If you really think I am bad for the job please just post it at the top of the page I will sticky it and put in my rebuttal... we will see who has a clue.

I fought alongside the ranger correspondent in many forums for the increase in ham and character level (and I am doing the same currently for the non-combatants). He unlike the armorsmith correspondent acted rationally and presented evidence to back up his claim and when he was told some issues would not be resolved even if he argued more he was smart and dropped them. (ie: removing cover from rifleman) His request was granted because he used logic and a calm attitude and he respected what they said and when they said something that was in error he corrected them with evidence.

So basically if you don't like me... Bite Me!!!!.

  • replace the advanced laser weapon at master with a sniper rifle so that we have a kinetic weapon at master

  • change the level requirements and make it prof specific a few of our rifles so we can level without having to do 5 boxed before we get a new weapon

  • Proton Rifle = lost cause - the devs said they would not move on this.

  • bowcaster having higher level siblings

  • have the e11 gain an advanced version for RPrs

  • cover - make sure it works right - so it does not break early or late

  • snipershot damage multiplier

  • defences vs character level - character level supersedes this and it should be the other way around

  • noncombatant character levels - should they be one shotted when doing harvestor runs?

  • entertainer help - what is their role

  • Squad Leader pistol xp vs SL xp..

it does not make sense to attack the devs - it is better overall to present a well reasoned and backed up arguement if you want change. RANDOMLY SPAMMING A DEV = BAN FOR A GOOD REASON!
