Thread: I'm quiting rifleman...
I believe there was mention of an increase in damage along with the 3.0 speed cap (would have to go back and find the dev comments on that to verify). Until that's all worked out there's no way of knowing whether the cap increase is, in fact, a real issue or not.
I have to jump into this thread to offer a point of view of the new rifleman heading towards master.
I got a holocron telling me tomaster it and was BH 0/2/4/4, pistoleer 0/0/0/3 and ch 1/1/0/0. I used to think I owned in pve sending in my pet, decimating things with my llc, and eyeshotting rancors down in 8-10 shots. PVP was great too, spam eyeshot, pistol whip those who are close, and use llc on everyone not using a pistol.
In short life was good. Now i am rifleman 2/1/3/2 Having just obtained flushing 2 last night, and I have to say now rifleman at this level is incredible for pve. I decimate mobs with fs2 when they aggro my pet, and its all done from a prone positon at 60m with my trusty laser rifle.
I doubt i am ready for pvp, but rifle so far has been tremendously rewarding. Rifle requires planning your attacks, setting up your shots, and properly boosting mind/weapons. Although this can be quite a hassle for gamers more used to just tapping fire button and running and gunning, it is much more suitable for an RPG. Coming from BH it is like a 180 degree change and I am loving it!

Well said Jeisyn.
Rocacca, try Tera Kasi Master or even try different skills in the tree. With powerboost (or whatever it's called) youll be a great PvP/PvE.
Best of luck to you.
I didn't even bother reading your post know why? I dont care. If you dont like riflemen quit go commando or BH and come on to Tarq. and I will quickly serve you up some whoopin. In PvP the only way I really lose is when people use those G-tefs and get right up next to me and flame me. Yes I'm a master and NO I dont have a t-21 jsut a pretty crappy laser rifle, sliced 40-455 damage. So before you come on and say we suck take a look around and read, or god forbid you use tactics.

Wow, there are alot of passionate ppl here, but I am so glad I read this thread. I am a master TKA and want to mix it up with Master SharpShooter. It is hard right now with just novice rifle and I would never whip out my Rifle in PVP (1-0-0-2), but I am glad to see that Master Rifle is a Different world. I am glad that there is a difference, prevents dabbling giving the power only to the ppl that Master the Art.
Thanx

to even compete with BHs who aren't master yet (and you will always die to eye shot in a straight one one one battle unless theres some fluke, becasue it kills you in 3 shots or even less if you help the BH along by using specials and draining your mind, plus you are blinded so you wont be hitting anything, period)
by a helmet, fool. eyeshot is targetted at the head. a good helmet makes it just another blind attack, which is not overpowering.
and before you look at my Sig and flame me for being a bh, i'm a rifleman on Scylla.
lol,a helmet as a rifleman, right? OK.
yeah, and blind isnt overpowering. Riflemen hit every shot at all ranges anyway, and are more accurate than pistol users, and are especially accurate at close range. Being blinded will not effect them.
OH WAIT
and all you people saying that rifleman rock in PvE and how once you get flushingshot2 you devestate everything your path while your pet keeps the enemies busy, and the AoE attacks are really strong and...
OH WAIT-hold up. Your pet. Is this the rifleman boards or the CH boards? I'm sorry, but a novice marksman with a CDEF pistol can own too if they have their pet to tank.
the numbers speak for themselves. Compare the dev's percentages on BHs, Commandos, Pistoleers.... and compare it to rifleman. Theres a reason no one dabbles in rifle. All the serious PvPers know they suck.

how come Rifleman has to use strategy and other classes dont?
because they are a different class.
I dont want to harp on you brother, so best just leave now. Its not for you.

i agree with your points. i am going rifle and giving up BH weapons. i am not doing this because a holocron told me to but through sheer disgust with BH weapons in PVE. those skills are only useful if you have a pet or against a single bounty mark. anything else gets ya killed. i will still keep the investigation tree and do missions from time to time because i cant think of anything better to do with the skill points and for the off chance that the devs will actually fix investigation someday.
