DXR-6 is only good in PvE, only in some instances have I attempted to use it for PvP mostly only for laughs and for show when someone comes up to me and says "Woah man what gun is that?"

so I show them

It's also only good for levelling and that's about it.

It used to be good in PVP against defense stackers cos you could make them with +120 accuracy, but with defense stacks gone it's PVE only now.

That's it. Devs need to start making useable weapons, otherwise it's just a waste of space.

Only the stun baton out of all the melee weapons is anything to write home about in PvP, other than that they're all kinetic (unless there's 1 or 2 I'm missing).

Composite is the norm for PvP, it protects against everything but stun. The only categories in weapons for PvP are: Protected vs composite, or stun. Everything else is mute.

Hang on dude, that is not entirely accurate. I dont know about pistols or carbines but I have a gameroaenanoaenadneandlasedjrkhe battle axe or whatever it is called that has 9999 disease uses and does a pretty good amound of damage. I also have a stone knife that is fast and does poison damage. You definately do not want to be on the buisness end of the Acklay pimp stick in the hands of a blademaster.

the dxr rifle is awsome in the geno caves, those lil bugs have either vuln to acid, or low resist (i forget exactly) That and if u r against a defense stacked person in pvp and have some1 else tanking, the accuracy mod can help some, especially if u having trouble with some1 who is "centered".

I'm talking about damage types, there's no reason to use an acid over an energy, or a heat over a kinetic, in PvP. Composite protects against it all.

Like I said earlier, there's 2 types of PvP damage: Stun, and not stun.

I totally dig my disruptor. it's min 236's and max 613 (if i remember correctly) almost alway's use it for pvp and for killing those unsightly player atst's. It's a great new wepon for us.

I'm an ex pistoleer and ex carbineer and am just passing through as a rifleman (but may want to revisit again later).I can tell you that the disruptor rifle is not useless. The disruptor does acid damage, which a lot of mobs are vulnerable or have low resists to. Off the shelf both the T21 and the Disruptor are comparable. The T21 has a slight edge in damage whereas the Disruptor has an edge in speed. A T21 is heavy AP vs the disruptor's Medium AP. One of the things i learned as a pistoleer is to look at the resistances of mobs.Take a Rhoa Kwi Packleader, which has light armor, 65% energy resist, and 0% (not vulnerable) for acid. Which you think is more efficient? The T21 or the Disruptor?

I've seen screeners of theLithanium Rifle. It's got decent speed and good max damage. Now i dont know about you, but i think this kinetic damage weapon would be handy againstsome Nighsisters....unless you enjoy seeing no numbers float above their heads when you use your T21.

If certain rifles did the damage type that they used to (spraystick used to do acid, and tusken rifles used to do kinetic), then i can see how these weapons may have a bit less significance. But right now, i think these rifles are far from useless.

doesnt really matter because only one rhoakwi pack leader spawns at a time and they arent taht tough even using a laser rifle.

In the PvE world, the other rifles have use depending on your level (spraystick) and mob. For example the SG82 is nice for Krayts, due to their vuln to cold. Debatable if its better than a T21 with the same armor peircing as the level they have, but they can be useful for other mobs as well.

In the PvP world, in response to you statements:

"Pistoleer's only viable weapons in PvP:
Geonosian (and tangle, kinda), Repub"

Incorrect. For PvP, in order of most used, I would say i'ts DX2, Sonic, Republic.

Geo Sonic Blaster is great if you are fighting a composite clad person up close. It has a max range of 48 meters and I would never waste its durability points on a non armored person. Obviously not everyone has one of these.

Tangle isn't worth it in pvp, there is no kinda. Using the best resrouces and loot, a perfect 35% damage slice and a 32% powerup you hit 200 max damage and 3.2 speed with the worst accuracy mods on any other pistol weapon in game (it cant be scoped). Servers vary of course, but thats the ballpark. Good luck on getting that perfect combo for a gun that sucks.

Republic, now that the DX2 accuracy was fixed, is really only useful in that its great accuracy at 65 meters and takes less krayt tissue to enhance. I dig the bleeding ones too. I would say I use this one the least of the big three.

DX2 is the best weapon to use for masters, due to mitigation. It always has the best accuracy mods as well, except for the Geo Sonic Blaster.

Also, heat weapons such as the upcoming rifle and the FWG5 will be useful in pvp once again. Take a look at what the Wookiee armor is vulnrable to. Why would I want to waste my sonic blaster on a wookiee when I can destroy them with a pre-nerf FWG, or a post nerf jabba FWG?

"Carbineer's:
Elite, and... uhh... well, nothing."

Elite is probablly the least used in pvp.

"BH:
Scatter & Tangle, Laser carb, LLC"

Hey, both of the BH weapons are useful, plus ones from other skills? Shazam!

"Only the stun baton out of all the melee weapons is anything to write home about in PvP, other than that they're all kinetic (unless there's 1 or 2 I'm missing)."

Yea, Blast, Elec, AP1, AP2, the usefulness of melee is high. Even kinetic VK's rock.

"Composite is the norm for PvP, it protects against everything but stun. The only categories in weapons for PvP are: Protected vs composite, or stun. Everything else is mute."

Depends. Stun can be protected, which means Acid, Energy, etc. for sure isnt triple layered to 80%. Granted they could be sliced there, so it varies. Sometimes acid is the best thing to use, sometimes energy. Depends on your class, your target pool and their armor vs. your weapons.

To anyone who thinks their DXR6 is a Useless weapon, please just give it to me.. I will gladly take that "junk" off your hands. I have been hunting on several different dangerous planets the past couple of weeks (Yavin 4, Endor, Dantooine) and have found NUMEROUS MOBs who have high energy resists but are vulenerable to Acid. I love my DXR6.
Anyone who thinks its useless is:
(1) Nothunting much variety (2) Not paying attention (3) Not a good rifleman (4) All of the above.
