Hmm sounds like the scouting profession just got a lot more fun!
Sad to see forage go and hope area tracking comes back in some capacity.

dont get used to it. they will do this for a week or three then it will be same old-same old lack of info and questions ignored.

just read the official page and sounds like some wicked cool skills we're getting. BUT!!!!!
I DONT WANT TO LOOSE CAMPING!!! sounds silly but being able to put down a HTFB and awe the crowd was always fun. and what about fishing??? how am i going to get bait?
i hope scout gets all the old school ranger skills.

Check the last page and halfway down is a Dev's answers to all these questions... camping specifically:
Question: What will Scout be gaining?
- Answer: Scout will be gainingpossibly Ranger camps, the Sonic Pulse and Flash Bomb traps, possibly the trapping mods and the havesting mods contained within Ranger will be distributed throughout Scout. Structure of these changes remains unknown at this time.
All existing creature traps, creature knowledge, harvesting, and camps from the current Ranger implementation are moving to Scount

Area track was always a mess because of game spawndynamics. I've never seen it work very well, and to work well, it should be accurate to a "T" within the range of 1,000 to 1,500 meters, not 200 to 400 - and inaccurately at that. It's a great feature, really great, in fact, if it worked. It doesn't work.

Right now, it doesn't look like tracking is going to be in the initial revamp publish. I can't comment beyond that.
