"But also, what ever happened to the idea for the Ranger specific weapon?"

The original idea for the Ranger Bow was an Effects weapon (not something that actually did any damage per se).

As that idea fit well with theTrap Launcher request, they wererolledtogether into one proposal.

The Trap Launcher is in the Traps Section.

the best reason to have the ski's in there is a reason i learned reading Dilbert.

You always give your boss 2 suggestions: one you want and one you definatly don't give a hoot about so they feel like they actually contributed and mattered when they do what you want.

NRaas, I'm sad that you've said nothing about my mounted ranger stud idea on the previous page. Was it that lame?

  • Reduce the imbalance with kiting

But your mount slows down while you're in combat.

"But your mount slows down while you're in combat."

And still they don't open up the special moves... Isn't that strange?

The bloodhound idea...

would a CH train a specific animal to "fetch [krayt dragon]"? I like the idea.

hit too soon

darn it.

would the animal randomly track something?

be trained to find a specific animal?

or need a hide/ bone/ meat from an amimal to go find it like a police bloodhound?

or tell the animal "fetch" and then a menu pops up giving the ranger some options...

how would you like to see this?

Good ideas. I especially like the fetch option as it can be easily limited (by the devs) to keep it from being uber.

I do find some of this seems to impinge on the CH profession, myself.

I'm an MCH, and a Ranger with track4. So I guess I'm waiting to see what gets done where...and hoping that somewhere, somehow...things get better...but it's a bit disturbing to see that there's this idea that Rangers should become more associated with Creatures, ratherthan putting primary creature oriented skills in the hands of Creature Handlers.

I don't know. There's alot of grey area here. There just seems to be this subtext within the Outdoorsman document that hints towards wanting the Ranger to be partly a CH. How would Rangers feel if the CH profession was asking for tracking skills in the CH tree also, rather than only in the Ranger tree?

You know, I WANT to answer that question, but NRaas will do it much better. Just see Drywen's (sp?) signature.

Aye, someone else brought up linking the Bloodhound more closely to /track. I like the idea of naming the ability /fetch, I will add that into the request as well.
