Thread: State of the Profession (Jan 29)

Right, the last thing that I would want is to take away some of the CH's skills and put them in the ranger category.
Like a mount, the CH would train the animal that would be ranger specific (like some droids, weaps, etc are profession specific) and that animal would be given to the ranger for them to use.
some of the limiting factors would be:
1) unable to fetch
2) killed by an animal...go get a new pet
3) found the creature
Rangers would have to use one of their creature slots for it and if it gets eaten we have to buy, train a new one that would ensure a prosperous relationship for the CH
A note on ferocity...
In pre-release (beta, if I recall correctly) they indicated that the "ferocity" of a creature indicates the amount of wounding one would expect to receive from a creature. I'm not sure that they stuck to that or if there's some percentage calculation or what but that's the information I've seen so far.
I'm always curious about what look like abberantly high or low ferocity numbers. Rancors with a ferocity of about 10 and humbabas with a ferocity of 14 or 15. I guess the rancors make up for the lack of wounds by just out and out killing you.
This is a common thing with a Master Rifleman, tends to happen right after one sees: "You do not have enough pool points...".

That bonus to hit is one of the most important things for the combat side of things.. hell its' the only one we have. I didn't even know untill recently, that it didn't apply to specials.... who uses autofire anyway?! It's ridiculous!!
