**edit** this thread makes memade at myself that i didn't cave in along time ago and take up ranger. wanted to be one the first time i "thought" i saw a HTFB. then2 months later i acually saw one 
. just one question though how you know where the highest peak of the world is, i don't see any elevation discription

I'm about to drop all the skills I have in Ranger to further my career in TKA... I'm already a Master Musician so my skill points are spread thin... I'm very close to getting Frontiering 4 too, but have come to realize it's taking up too many skill points. The only reason I came to Ranger was for the camps. I hate to let go of them too, but as I said, it's sacrificing too much just for one skill in an Elite profession. If I decided to go with Ranger, I wouldn't even have a combat skill to make use of my Ranger skills which further proves to me that I made the right choice. But anyways... will miss the camps.

Incidentally, I've noticed over the past few weeks an ever increasing number of 'novice/master ranger' titlesshowing up over peoples heads. Maybe we're catching on. Is that a good thing? I don't know. I kinda like the small community thing, kinda like it was our own little secret. Maybe with increased population will come increased appreciation. Then again, maybe with increased population comes increased riff-raff. Who knows.

I am just about to master scout and marksman, and had always thought I'd go on to BH, but after reading this thread I've decided that ranger is for me.

Come on now. He said he liked the ranger camps and hates to let them go. That is more postitive than your response. Just becuase someone doesn't stay with it doesn't always mean they don't like it.

Well, you could probably get one faster by foraging yourself... But if you're serious, I suppose it could be arranged. ::grins::

You just have to use trial and error to find the highest peak. Go to all the splotches that look like mountains on the world map. And then you get to decide which one seems highest. 
On some planets, like Lok and Dathomir, it is easier than on other planets, like Talus.
I love Ranger because when I wear my Master Ranger tag I feel finished. Complete. No more profession grinding stress. Just fun.

I also love Ranger. I am not currently a Ranger (due to holo hunting and such) but I always planned to come back (and almost cried when I dropped it). I am nearing the end of my patience with other professions (leveling through Ranger was actually fun--I'm tempted to do it the long way again [except the camping--that took forever]). It's sad that the only profession that I have mastered but do not have a badge for is my favorite. I'll have to fix that soon. I just hope I can have a Jedi as well (Antarian Ranger, anyone?

As another poster said.... Beeing Master Ranger feels complete :-)
I have combined master ranger with master CH.
All additional skills go into carabines.
I more or less picked up the CH because it felt right to have some animal companions while beeing a ranger. That makes my travels around the world more interresting since I can pick up new pets.
I would never have CH to be my main professions though that would be incomplete.
Now you will probably laugh at this, but I dont collect the strong ones, rather the ones with the looks. So this means no grauls for me, but I have a nice parrot, a cat and a few dogs to keep me company while trekking the mountains, or fishing in the little river somewhere in the wilderness. Actually you will probably more often find me equipping a fishing rod than a gun. LoL
