Thread: I love being a ranger.
in fact, i can relate...for me there are times of balls to the wall harvesting and hunting, other times, its fishing on endor watching the big planet move across the sky or climbing the hightest peak from the furthest point from any city (really hard to do now) and just look at the scenery.

I gave up my CH skills to finish Ranger and pick up a few combat skills. I really miss my GSP. He was the second pet I owned and was always out with me. I never really used him much, I just thought that being a Master Ranger and having my old friend (DirtNap), with me was just right. I still have him in my datapad. Let go all of the other pets I had, but could not let him go. I am hoping that maybe one day they will make it so I can have one pet. Then my old friend and I can go hunting again.

I just started as a Ranger and have to say I do enjoy it. Once I get my Rifleman skills up to par I will truly be living the life. I really enjoy all the abilities that comes with it. Granted the Outdoorsman would make it uber sweet but still...

Hello, fellow Rangers.
I have been reading this forum for quite a while now. And actually I am a bit amazed how much whining there is, although it is not nearly as much as in the other boards. I was actually very happy to see this thread.
I love RPG, and, no offence, cant stand grinders and kiddies talking about PvP. It just irritates me. I am one of those peeps u might dispise, as I have two characters on one server, although I have never ever power-played, and have not even loged-on with my other char for about 3 weeks (better check wether it is still there, or not. lol).
I chose Ranger as a profession for a very simple reason, which I think most of my fellow rangers had in mind when choosing. I JUST LOVE THIS GAME. The beauty of Ebdor and Dantooine's woods and plains are amazing. I have taken about 200 screens so far of Endor's woods alone. I hate being in cities, especially Coronet and Theed. This is just not my cup of tea. Imp, Rebel, what do I care. As long as I can be in the woods and make my trade.
I think the abilities are pretty impressive as well, although I dont use traps very often. The camps are amazing and perfect for showing-off. Area-track is great. Ok, sometimes I have this see Critter in area-track which isnt there for real, problem, but who cares. I still see really cool things. And camo-kits work really cool for me. On Dathomir, I can actually get so close to an ancient Bull-Rancor, I could kiss him. Which I dont really want to do though, as u never know where it has been before. lol
To conclude this, I love being a Ranger, and CH and Carbineer, btw. This game is the most amazing one I have seen so far. And I have been playing online games, RPG and MP for the last 8 years. The beauty and surroundings make me hold my breath every day. Sounds a bit gay, but I have no better way to describe it, specially as English is not my first language, sorry. Every trade has its weaknesses. So what?? That is life.
There is only one major drawback!!! And that is that there r so few of us!!! I had to pay for every single teach I got. lol, that was actually not that nice. But I got over it. And it was worth it.

yeah, we have some whiners, but I think that even the best of us really get frustrated at times. Im in the same boat as you, I left ranger and now im coming back to it...its just right for me.
I love being a ranger, and leaving it only proved it to me. Most of us are proud of being Rangers despite the bugs, most of us simultaneously hate the shortcomings, yet love the profession.
