So this means we've lost our cert for Mandalorian Armor?

Did we ever have certifications for armor?

I haven't been playing since day 1 hehe, so I don't know what's been up and down since then.

I think we should've got cert's for anything with bone or hide in the name, though. We're basically reconnaisance characters, with the mask scent and camo. I guess I shouldn't be so excited, but I did like seeing our name in a document for a change .

Yeah, I'm kinda not feeling the love here. On a different note, just saw Sin City, VERY graphic and VERY eye pleasing movie. Typical Miller and Rodriguez though, but good fun entertainment.

Do NOT take the kiddies

I agree Cryos...doesnt make too much sense. And yes, so far, we have lost our cert for Mando.

Were any of you in danger of actually using the Mando armor? We were given the Cert as a 'bone' and now it's gone...no biggie.

I didn't even know we had certification. Was it temporarily implemented and then removed from the CU notes?

I still think we should be able to wear anything with bone and hide in the name. We should know the material well enough to use it in combat.

Calc I understand the rarity of it. Honestly the only Mando I've seen is the stuff Fett is wearing in Jabbas. I guess for me its more tha concpet of it even thought its not a big deal its still cool.

Just read this, folks. Looks like we're involved in the CU after all! I snippeted this from the Bloodfin Forums.

Why we don't get the better resists to kinetic? Hm, oh well. I'm sure there's a way to make the kinetic resists a little better with the right crafting work. We'll just have to wait.

Ok we have all heard that certain profession can wear certain types of armor. And that there was soing to be 3 total classes of armor. Well on the armor forums they just posted the complete list of who gets what.

They also posted some information reguarding Mandolorian and RIS armor. I would sugest that anyone who is getting this stuff crafted now wait. For the Mando armor. people will have to go see the RIS quest guy. And trade in there armor. They will ge given a single use schem to use and that can be made into the appropriate level armor that you would need..

I also know that a lot of people have mods in certain armor pieces. If comp armor is what you have mods in . You will still be able to use it. But you will be hindred so much that you will more than likely decide not to wear it. Even if is is only 1 piece it will default the entier suit to the highest lvl armor that is worn.

Wow this really sucks!! What are they thinking. They say there making Combat harder. I am a TKM Ranger and now i guess I will have to drop TK so i can wear armor because what is stated above has nothing about armor for tkms. I also do not understand why we can not where recon armor. That in my opinion is pretty retarded.

From what's being discussed on the TKM forums, it sounds like there's a reason TKM don't have armor certs and that's because they won't need it. Sounds like they'll be the unarmored/quick fighters.

Not too much detail as some are holding back info due to the NDA... (No idea why the alpha team is still being held to that. Maybe the devs just forgot to mention that the NDA is over, like they forgot to mention alpha testing was going on all along).

I actually like that we've got the 'all round' armour. Us saying we fight creatures who mainly do kinetic so we should get the Assualt armor seems to me we're now advocating Ranger as a creature centric role. I'm hoping the all round armour means we'll have an all round combat role at some point in the future.

As for the TK with no armor certs thing, I think the armour certs don't actually relate to the weapon your're holding (otherwise how would ranger/doc/CM work who don't have a profession based weapon). So if you get battle armour certs from swordsman, you'd be able to wear battle armour with a VK out and still get all the penalty mitigation, altough you'd still be slower/less accurate than an unarmoured TK.

I still think that Battle armor is not the correct armor for a Ranger (about its role). (ok.... my true reason is because rebel battle armor is not as cool as assault ).
Well, why not give the ranger the 3 certs of armor ?

Actually I was wondering.. Is the cert the ONLY armor you can wear? Or can we wear that kind or lower?
