JB would god damn rock as correspondent i think.
And JB: If you want to do the fs thing then do it and make your alt a ranger, cant see it making you any less a ranger.

I dont think factions is a point to highlight, i think if we progress into a gcw role then it wont matter what side we fight on, we will still be rangers. As for seeing all sides of discussions and remaining unbiased (apart from supporting rangers through and through), yeah thats paramout hehe.

If faction would be of any consideration (which I think it isn't) I personally would *exclude* neutrals as a correspondent. Not participating in the supposedly 'Elder Content' of this game (I know the GCW isn't at that state atm, but it's supposed to get there) doesn't exactly help for a correspondent with *one* of the goals being to get a well defined role within the GCW
.
btw.: Luckily JBmat already said he doesn't want the correspondent job, saves me the time and effort to explain in depth why I consider him as one of the worst choices for that position among the 'regulars' of this forum (I personally see myself as one of those 'worst choices' too btw
).
Reason you may ask? I consider neither him or me able enough to deal with opinions that do not exactly reflect our personal view of things :-).
However I do agree on all the other Nominees (well except that drunken bothan ofc
)

hehe that is true. A clear understanding of both sides of gcw or atleast an apreciation for each could be important. Im sure the devs think of these things too when picking who they want.

2 things i find wierd in this forum:
Tiggs posted, but only posted with a form letter that has Ranger inserted everywhere (I also wonder how long it took her to find the Ranger forums...probably had to ask/call some Dev from SWG Beta). So much for Dev contact with the Ranger community.
And, many other correspondents posted here, so at least they know that Rangers exist (unlike the Devs)

Whoever gets the job gets my support, unless they support some dumbass idea like waypoints for areatrack.
I'll make it my platform!!!
Too hard to choose imo. Although JB would have been hilarious as a leader - bringing a whole new meaning to "laying the smackdown" methinks

All that really matters is that we get someone who is willing to take over Calc's spot as dictator of the rangers.... I mean correspondent, yeah, thats what i meant

By the way, I, too submitted my application. So far there are a lot of great applicants, so I really am not worried about the future of the Rangers.

I decided to put my name on the list as well. I have to say we've got alot of great Rangers, I wouldn't be disappointed to see any of the names listed so far get it!

There are countless others who's insights are invaluable. We have a pretty strong community here so I'm sure whoever is selected will do a fine job.
I wholeheartedly support Owen, Nem0 and Fred. They have been around a very long time (Fred in particular, he and I hit Master within a couple days of each other) and have made countless contributions to the Ranger Community. Whomever does get it should bring JB on as his or her Enforcer. It would be an unpaid position, but I think it would fit JB to a "T".![]()
Phenix would be an awesome addition as well.
Good luck to all of you.
*Edited to include Phenix as I am an idiot.......

I do not envy Tiggs and TH for having to choose between the awesome peeps that have volunteered to lead the Rangers!
