Rifles! I'm staying rifles.... i've used them for over 2 years.. i've tried the other weapon types with my alts, and still! itz rifles.

Pre-CU it was rifles for the insane damage. It was a good way to back up my pets.

Post-CU it is carbines. Still good amount of damage but not enough to immediately pull aggro away from the pets. I don't actually have any carbineer, I just my CL80 to allow me a high level carbine. I have the critical hit special from BH, but otherwise just use marksman specials.

My third favorite is TKA. Most of my entertainer characters have TKA since it seems to fit the "bar" atmosphere the best. Also there was nothing that beat sending your toon into battle with only a mandovil (pre-CU).

I use a rifle.

For the longest time, I was master rifleman using mainly and advanced laser rifle.
Right now, due to lack of skill points, I'm a BH (yuck) and Master Ranger, using my trusty Tusken rifle.

And after the Ranger re-vamp, I intend to switch back to Master Rifleman.

Melee for me all the way. Tried all 3 ranged elite profs and didn't like them. So, I am back to TKM/Scout/Ranger. Until the dark side (read: revamp) happens, at least.

I have used rifles allways, but i underestand that rifles prereq is as bad as carab for Ranger.

Out of pre-CU habit, I carry 2 of each (pistol, carb, rifles) energy and kinetic. Most used is carbines (love the look of the Czerka) so voted that way.

Yeah...thank the CU for that. I think it's part of the devs plan to make the melee profs a secondary choice (where's my tin foil hat?).

Oh-stay on topic. Right. Rifles at the moment. If the prereqs back me into the corner, carbines will become the weapon of choice, since I don't plan to give up Master Scout, and I certainly can't be a master combat EXCEPT for carbines if I plan to stay Master Ranger....

This is exactly why it won't be rifles... They are over used and not in ballance IMHO.
