starscorcher,

~flame~

j/k. Scan the forums a bit more. Sorry I won't post a link, but there are a few threads titled "Eclipse Rangers". Ya just gotta look, mate.

You know, they might need someone in eclipse to get an Antarian Guild going... just a thought (nudge, nudge)

And now I realise that I should have read a bit more carefully and also took notice of the guilds people who posted belong to. Sheesh. Shows how much attention I pay to things. So just disregard my last comment, eh?

Adding my opinion.

Ive no problem with anyone being a Rebel or Imperial.

Personally i would love to see 2 rangers going at in a group PvP to seem them both stop, acknowledge each other, and then contiue to fight someone else beucase they understand the code of the AR is higher than that of any faction.

Having said that, i think what everyone is really missing is the best part and in some ways I agree with those that say it should be rebel only!

However ever posted that link about the Antarian Rangers, its was a great one and worth the read, but it leads to my point.

We, as Antarian Rangers, where helpers andprotectors of the Jedi. And i would like to take this into the game (and ill role play it anyways) where if a Player Created Jedi comes to us, we would offer them solace and protection and help them train in the very skill that we are trying to protect, Jedi. (Imagine being friends of a Master Jedi)

My point in all of this is, The Imperials are opposed to free Thinking Jedi (i say freethinking becuase Darth Sidius and Vadar are both jedi), therefore the enemy of the Jedi, thus the Enemy of the Antarian Rangers.

For me, that is they way i am playing it. Ive made some pretty cool intro macros and fairwells that go well with all of the "Jedi" side of things.

They are as similair to what follows, but i cant remember exactly

Introduction

Im Took'rak Larrin of the Antarian Rangers, Protector of the Jedi Code and Masters of the Wild" with a deep bow.

Fairwell to someone i help, but not a friend

"Fairwell, If you have need send word andThe Antarian Ranger will be by your side in your hour of need" Honorable Bow - "May The Force Be With You"

For me, i will not kill a fellow AR member, regardless of faction, but i will and am going to rp a Rebel AR!

Having said all that are we considering any ranger not killable or only those associated with the AR. Im of the opinion that if they are not AR then they dont have any right to deserve ourhonour (from an rp aspect). I mean, sure help them if they ask, but also, if the are of the opposing faction and not AR i will kill them if i am in battle against them.

Our pact should only stand for those that of AR! If you are not a member of AR you a free game, so to speak.

Not all imps are opposed to the free thinking of the Jedi. I for one, from the rp perspective, went Imp because i believe that this is the best govrenment for the galaxy. I harbor no resentment towards rebels or neutral party members. This is just my humble opinion on the matter, who is to say i wont meet a rebel one day that will change my mind?

You are all crazy, The antarian rangers served the jedi not the sith and they were hunted by the empire and killed. Go ahead hug an imperial, i won't call you a brother of mine.If you served the emperor you are condoning a death sentence on every world who cherishes freedom and every race who deserves it.

Come on now...

Not all Imperial soldiers are evil just because they serve the Empire. Most of the soldiers fighting for the Empire are just patriots that think they are doing what is best for society. Bringing law and order to the Galaxy.

Not every grunt knows about the corruption that plagues the Empire. Mostly it is confined to the most ruthless high ranking officers and polititians.

If there is hope of converting an Imperial, that should be the first course of action. Do not condemn the ignorant. Inform them.

Well actually that is not entirely true.

This is sought of a spolier or my take on what imperials are, it does refer to the movies so if you dont want to read it turn away now. Add to the you might enjoy my take on it, not sure if it dawned on everyone but i have explained this to a few people and it is like a light has gone of in their head.

Here we go....

Correct me if im wrong but "The Imperials" with the expcetion of a few of them where generally "clones"

My understanding of it all that isin the "Attack of The Clones" Yoda, with Palapatine, used these same clones to defeat "Count Dooko". It the misconception that Dooko was the one that created this army, where infact it was Palpatine!!

This is infact the worse thing Yoda could of done, here we see that the Emperor is infact better than Yoda and the best Jedi known to these worlds, he fooled Yoda making him play into is hands, and coverts Anakin to the dark side! You have to marvel at the Emperor and his genious, he was fooling everyone, playing them like chess peices, about his ambitions, and even Yoda wasnt aware, he did get an idea of what awas happening by the end of the movie though.

Count Dooko, the only jedi who was aware of Palaptines plans caught wind of the impending "take over" and started to build he driod army with the help of the Trade Federation, where as Palpatine / The Emperor started to build his "Clone Army" many years before that becuase he could see into the future and new well inadvance what he needed to know, and what he needed to do to fulfill his plans for dominace of the Universe.

This was infact the worse thing that could of happen, first, many Jedi was lost, secondly this is infact where the Emperor gets the plans for the "ultimate weapon of the univers" the Death Star! Which infact, the trade Federation had designed, being they the supremem maker of driods there techonology was far superior than that of any other.

So infact anyone of you that actually play "An Imperial" are infact saying that you are not free thinking, that infact you are not born of natural means, and are test tube babies. So be an imperial, and follow the crowd if you will!

let me say, this, by all means, play an Imperial, who am i to tell you how to play this game, its just my thoughts and why i could never play an Imperial.

Now before you flame and say "DAHH" i know it is obvious to some, but i was surprised at how many people didnt get all that, having said that i could be wrong, it could be Dooko that becomes the Emperor (not likely though)

Ok, I remember when you guys were first talking about forming up an all Ranger PA, and thought it was a kick butt idea then. I still think it kicks butt, but I keep wishing that someone would start up a Chilastra chapter. Before you say "Well, why don't you do it?" I would, except my work schedule is weird. I couldn't devote the amount of time i'd like to, so it'd be difficult if I had to start it up. I'd gladly jon and assist as much as possible if someone else were to kick it off though.

Um, not all Imperials are clones.

Some Stormtroopers are leftover clones from the Clone Wars, but the imperial ranks gain new soldiers every day in the form of young patriots and, possibly, drafted civilians.

There are many natural born, free-thinking individuals within the Imperial Legion, just as there are in all nation's military.

Could someone more versed in Star Wars lore say whether the Empire uses a draft or if joining the imperial army is totally done by choice?

I can't say I've delved too deep in the star wars universe but my understanding is all stormtroopers are clones while all the rest of theimps are the ones who joined of their own free will.

No, not all Stormtroopers are clones.

During the Clone Wars, yes, they were all clones, but during the time period the game is set most troopers are natural born people that joined the Empire to be peacekeepers. Stormtroopers are just Imperial grunts.

Most of the clones that survived the Clone Wars (and still young enough) still serve in the Imperial army. I don't think they have a choice as there is not much of a life for them outside of the Empire. Clones are probably not looked upon too kindly by the masses as cloning is illegal.

The Emperor has many clones on standby, as he can utilize the Force to transfer his essense from one body to another. He has to do this since the Darkforce within him quickly destroys his body.

I think he outlawed cloning so that no one else could use cloning as a method of attaining immortality.

I'm no Star Wars buff, but this is how I understand it.
