Proud moments in Ranger History: Phenix, rambling and drunk (you are stunned! you feel dizzy! you are having trouble seeing clearly! you're bleeding! (?!?)) utters the phrase "Ranger is a Lifestyle, not a Proffession."
Soon, it is uttered everywhere. People put it in there sigs. It become the Ranger battle cry. There is a Sugar Ray song entitled "Ranger is a Lifestyle". Microsoft buys the gaming rights and Miramax buys the rights to the movie.
Before long the devs will catch wind of it, and bring it to TH. TH will look at it and go "hmm, okay, if it's not a proffession, we don't have to do any work on it. Next up: the chubba count around some of the cities is WAY to small. We need to have at least 1/2 of the 1000 mobs per server be comprised of chubbas and worrts. Also, we need some new art for the chubba death sequence and we still haven't been able to calculate what exactly those Rangers mean by "monkey making". These are BIG ISSUES, people! Let's GO!
erm...maybe that wasn't such a proud moment.
LOL

I definitely use /areatrack and the harvesting mods the most. I miss then sooo much when I am using my other non-ranger characters.
I dropped most of Ranger thinking that high-end combat skills would enable me to play the game more fully. Unfortunately the heavy combat kill-everything-and-not-worry-about-dying novelty wears off quickly. I am keeping it until I try all the high-end combat content but then I am going back to Ranger. Ranger, with all its diverse options and eye-candy, allows me to enjoy the game more fully.

Having aperson say:
"OMG you can build a small city" the first time they see a HTFB!
"SLOW DOWN" as you scream up the side of a mountain!
"SWEET" as you tell them you found BLACK SUN group!
"YOUR MY FAVORITE RANGER"as you drop of 20 k of the latest hot meat!
These are just a few of the reasons.

Lobbing a bunch of adhesive mesh traps after someone has pulled a train.
I especially like it when they say "Wow, I've never seen that trap before!"

This is, by far, the best profession community on the boards. I really don't know why I didn't start posting here earlier.
I've played as a Ranger for about7-8 months now and I'm not giving it up any time soon. I've had thoughts about changing combat professions, but only if I could work the skill points around Master Ranger.
The versatility of the Ranger is what drew me to become one. We can not only survive ourselves, but we can help others survive as well. And the money, my god, the money is great! Made 6 million off the last great wooly hide harvest of Corbantis in less than a week.
Rangers rock *period*
(Couldn't help it, I had to put the "new" motto in my sig
)
