I'll be staying too. Long enough at least to see what the changes are like. I will also check out MEO. Thanks for the rice balls.

/salute to all the Rangers

I'm a CH, so we are in the same boat. I only have to say that the best moments in this game were those with my rangers friends looking for new creatures to tame and hunting for resources.

I myself mainly lurked on the forums, but I posted every once and a while. And while I've only been here for a year, I feel like I'm saying goodbye to lifelong friends.

I can remember the good times like when I solo'ed my first Krayt (took me a half hour) and I can remember the bad times like when I just recently tried to call my HTFB and it didn't work).

This community will be the greatest thing I miss about ranger. For our community was the most close-knit and caring of all the communities.

I'll be sticking around swg to try out the changes and if I don't like them, I'll go out in ranger fashion. With a camp in one hand, and a trap in the other hand. So if anyone is on Ahazi and see's a big wookiee named Melak with Master Ranger above their heads, drop him a line

And for those who are leaving and want to keep in touch, I will be constantly checking swgranger.com and my e-mail is corey.r.dixon [at] gmail.com

I will forever go on with the teaching I learned from all of my great commrades from this board, and will always have the campfire going in my heart.

Ranger - It's not a profession, It's a way of life. A way of life that only lives on in the hearts of rangers

I may drop by to test out the new system, but shall exist in WoW on Dark Iron as Dyrwen.

I can only give my thanks to this community for bringing me back into SWG after a long hiatus, only to be sad to see you go as the game takes a tragic turn for the new.

Wander on.

Ill be turning out the lights on Naritus. Im going to keep my newly aquired ranger tag in SWG-CU2 as well. I may not keep all my accounts active, and Im looking into the possability of spliting my time with another game, but my master plan is to eventuly take over theed palace and use it for my personal house. So, I can leave yet . Anyway Ill help turn off the lights here on the 15th, but Ill carry the candle forever.

In case it isn't public knowledge, Phe'nix, thatcrazy Bothanis madly in love with Cabby (Caboah, above). You can probably see why just by reading the above post. Plus, she's a hot Rangerette.

I'll be sticking it out in SWG for a while, RPing an Antarian Ranger as long as I can. If this new system isn't fun, or I can't play my character in a Rangerish sort of way, I'm fully prepared to leave this game. Being with this community means more to me than the game itself at this point. SOE has betrayed my trust more than once, but this community has not.

If this doesn't work out, I will likely play MEO (LOTRO) and I hope to see a lot of you there if I do. Being an Antarian Ranger has been great, and perhaps we could start a guild named that in the new game (no offense to the Imperial Sector Rangers, but the Antarian Rangers sounds better :smileytongue

I will always remember the great times we had here, and I hope to spend my time in MMOs with people like you for as long as I play them. I never played an MMO before this one, and without people like you, I never would have had a reason to keep playing. I might not be the last one out, but believe me, I'll be here as long as I can be.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

we need to get all the Rangers together that are going to MEO, and all go on the same server when it launches. we can then start a guild. It would rule to have every in-game day be like a Great Ranger Meet.

Okay,

I am a pretty recent player to SWG and when trying to figure out what to do someone in my guild said go Ranger and I did!

Once I got into it I loved it, now yeah I be around for when the lights go out, I give the <i>new game</i> a try but if it is not as much fun I drop it and go for something else.

Yeah I have to say the MEO (LOTRO) looks good, that may well be where I end up heading!

I finally got back into the forums after days of login issues. Oy. I'm sad to see the lights go out too, and to see that the Dev team flat out lied to us. Like many others I will be riding out my paid time, which is about Christmas and then waiting for MEO.

I posted in Sick Six's thread on the MEO forums. I honestly thought for some odd reason that I would the one turning the lights out....*sigh*

I have already said my goodbye but since AgonThalia asked nicely, I will post here too to help prove his point to the devs.

I am leaving. D'nara was my first character in SWG when I started playing in July 2004, she became a Ranger from the get-go and eventually Mastered without ever seriously grinding - just played, so it took me a while to get my Master tag.

I also started an alt, Bethya, who ran the Ranger shop which became such a big thing on Farstar for a short while before the CU hit. I cancelled my accounts, came back to try it out this Summer but am cancelling again.

I have nothing against the NGE per se. Some of it looks reasonable enough. The reason I am leaving is that the standard of customer service from SOE is nothing short of scandalous. The UK people will get this reference but I honestly think they should be put on the Watchdog TV show. It's been daylight robbery to handle it like this and I refuse to be treated like that or to honour such treatment with my money.

I honestly hope and pray they lose the gig from LucasArts and that someone takes over who knows what they doing. If that happens, maybe I will return to SWG.

In the meantime, I'm heading over to Middle Earth Online where the spirit of the Ranger in me will never die. I hope to see some of you guys there.

To all my fellow rangers out there. It's been a blast guys. We've walked the trials, tracked the creatures and told the stories at the campsites. Until the very end I set up camps outside of Mos Eisley and talked to new players about the game. The reason I did that? My very first friend on my friends list was a ranger I encountered outside of Eisley in a camp that took a great deal of his time to explain to me how the game worked. Despite the loner nature of the class, despite the perceived combat weakness we had, we stuck it out. A breed apart. They say we get to keep our tags, if that is the case people will always know that Ceoto was a Master Ranger, part of that breed that floods into this corner of the boards.

To those that are leaving I wish you well and all the best of luck. To those that are staying I wish you even more luck, I think you're going to need it.

To any of you on Eclipse, what say we go out with a bang? One more hunt, Master Rangers all?

My respect and gratitude to this wonderful community. Thank you all!

I'll give it a chance but the new system takes out some of my favorite parts about this game. Oh well, we'll see what happens.
