FWIW a Dev-type person told me this (calculuslator) ain't gonna happen (anyone here surprised?). SOunds like it would be much harder to code than to just make the laxy butts go out and buy a 99cent TI special (still the best little calculator I have found).

It would be diffucult?! I mean come on use the fishing or gambling interface. I dont need something that shines wiht the power of midichlorians

I usually just rip some bark off the nearest tree and use my trusty vibro knife to write it out. Honest;y it would be a nice little thing to add to the game. But how many times would thay have to patch it to get it to work rite?????

I use to be a ranger (just droped it) and when I had it, all it was realy good for was maybe looting hides and stuff. also little small parts of the game. I think it would be cool if it was merged with squad leader. because both professions seam a little unliked in general so maybe if they were mirged it would make for a much nicer prof.....thats MHO

Um, no. I think you'll find most Rangers do like being a Ranger, else we would be Squad Leaders instead (or aswell!?!). Not quite sure how both professions being 'unliked in general' is a good reason to merge them either?

As for the merger betwenn squad leader and ranger... tried some squad leader before and hated it so u can guess my vote.

I am a short-timer, I have not played as long as some of the other guys here. But since day one, i have only wanted to be a ranger. I looked over all the other professions and out of all 30something, this was the one i wanted. Not to say that Ranger isn't a huge investment is SP cause it is. A few of our skill trees are not used at the moment, but isn't the point of the game to find something you enjoy doing and play it. Some folks like ID's, some folks like BE's, all I can say is to each his own. I , for one, don't see where the Ranger and SquadLeaders would benefit from being merged, 2 entirely different directions.

Besides, we like being rare. If everyone one and their droids were rangers, the profession would lose some of it's magic.

Since this is another one of the "let's combine Ranger with <x>" posts, I'm gonna offer my patented Professions Math Formula:
2 complete professions > 1 mishmashed profession.
In other words, make suggestions on how to fix the individual problems of Ranger and Squad Leader before you say "let's just throw them together."
