Well, an in-game calculator would be neat, but there's more important things to be addressed I think.
It's never been a problem for me; my PDA or mobile (cell-phone to Americans) are never far away, both of which will do sums for me. In fact on rare occaisions, I've even whipped up a quick spread sheet on my Tungsten T3 to do some in-game budgetting. Yeah that's it, forget about in-game calculators, lets have an in-game spread sheet application!

And do a lot of large purchases). So i would think it might show up sooner then later. Plus testing on TC would be kind of easy wouldnt it?New TC Thread"To stupid Devs - Your calculator sucks the big fat hairy ones. I cant do my homework while grinding camps with my offline macro using it. And dont you think you could have added a simple root key? Wheres my TI-82 functions? You be teh sukc. Do it right next time"Ah those good time threads
While chortling at Fodder letting the Inner Child out (careful there, the wind might change and you'll be stuck like that) I thought, calculator? An InGame one? Peh, doesn't everyone have a real one in the drawer of their desk?
Then I had a look round. OK, so I have a calculator. Plus the laptop with factory and resource spreadsheets on... oh, and a ready reckoner for making meds...
I didn't have this much cr*p on my desk AT WORK!!
sheesh
oh look, kreetles just barfed my conceal again. Back to the 'front.

Yeah or the fact that you'd have to wait for the village to be in phase 4 and finish all the quests for Sagan before getting your calculator and telescope.

Funny, I would have expected slide rules for you.

Calculus because normal mathis just to easy. Don't ask what made me reply that this morning. My brain was still fried from doing a lot of artisan stuff last night. I just thought it was funny, though i dont mean this in a negative way, that DaveG would think its a waste. Since hes the one who was saying that the revamp was a waste and just to change some numbers? See where i was going??!! HUH HUH?! Who says it isnt funny if you have to explain it
Warning - Train of thought has derailed on line 4

hehe
I know what you mean though. If we get a revamp then we are going to get major things changed and added to make our proffesion good, if we go the number tweaking route then i would just expect the devs to pass us over and work on someone elses revamp.
I dont want this to happen, i want some time where we get all the attention and some major systems added/revamped.
Same with the combat revamp etc.

Damn. And I was all ready to use calculus to clean up the coffee I spilled on my desk. Does this mean we can't use calculus for everything?
