I just rode my new mount around a bit, examining and slaughtering the local fauna... hehe. And, much to my surprised.... AWESOME LOOT! (Okay, not "uber" look, but COOL loot). I don't want to spoil what it is for folks 'cause I'm still finding new things myself, but DANG... make sure when you harvest the corpse that you loot it too! I've found a ton of new looted items from animal corpses, and ones that are really cool and fun.
Oh, and extra bonus - apparently the avian on Ahazi on Kashyyyk is pretty awesome now. both PE and OQ are in the high 900's, and even low level avian creatures (so far I've found some jyngle vulture or something plus the wild varactyls) are giving around 100 or so units per, for a kill that takes seconds. So if you're on Ahazi, you might want to grab some of that, it's good stuff....

As a lvl80 (as a lot of people are) I've not found anything worth fighting yet. Everything cons grey, with the highest I think I've seen of about lvl40. I mean this would be grey con for a single combat prof. Tried the Myydril caves but again most things con grey, with the exception being one blue con droideka that I managed to tab target somewhere in the cave. Didn't have time to look fully but *seems* a large chunk of the caves, and the planet in general seems to be low level stuff. The grey cons die in a few spin attacks and hardly dent my health even when I let them swarm. Hardly exciting. Maybe some better stuff lower in the caves? Or this asteroid dungeon perhaps. Will look harder later but initial impressions of an 'adventure' planet is 'tame'.

Speaking of cantina... as soon as you get off at the starport on Kashyyyk, there's an Imp officer offering a couple of bounties. He told to go to "the cantina" to meet my contact. Is this on kashyyyk, or another planet?

Yeah on Kasyyyk in the big tree. 1st floor if i remember right.

I bought a light bowcaster off a vendor yesterday and when it tranferred to me it became an assault bowcaster, which I cannot use. This happened twice. I hope I can get ahold of a light bowcaster on Kasyyk somewhere, it seems like the logical place to look.

OOh, I am 45, sounds goo for me.
But... now someone please send me flowers here- I have a 19 hour downlaod. When it finishes I wont be able to get on.Bloody dial up.But oh well. I am gonna go make some space mining cash right when I get on :-D

That really annoyed me (and gave me serious EQ flashbacks to Rathe Mountains). Maybe they'll open it up later or something. If you're not into dungeons or quests, there really isn't much this planet has to offer. Some static hunting grounds have promise, but they're small and will no doubt be regularly hunted by those needing resources. (I'm having more EQ flashbacks. "That's my spot, I was camping here first.") Unless the dungeons have harvestable creatures, I'm hoping Kashyyyk never gets any really good resources. :>
However, I'm looking forward to trying out the quests and dungeons and whatnot else. I'm sure there's more than meets the eye here. :>

The creature loots are interesting.. Any use for them, other than selling them to the wookie dealers?
I did two missions from the Rodian hunting camp. The Varactyl mission was easy credits..
The second one, involving bantha went by pretty quickly. It was nice to see that people figured out they could group together and all get credit for the kills, rather than having a bunch of people standing around complaining about kill stealing or camping.
I had a small group of 4 and we got our number of kills in no time.
The reward was cool... Unfortunately I need to go up into space to finish the next part of the mission.
I need to find new wingman, or refit my ship before I'll be able to finish that.

Oh yeah, I really like additional restrictions on the hats I can wear. I don't want that to become an issue when/if we get our Ranger Hats .

Is that a bug, or was it a pre CU bowcaster? All the pre CU weapons turned into the higher level weapons with the conversion...it is still a bug either way.
