Do you have to mince around with your hands on your hips, stop and say "oooh sailor" and "hello bigboy" to the passing Padawans to camp your way to Jedi?

In all honesty, there's very littlereason to camp your way to jedi. Trapping xp is VERY VERY easy to max out. Make some glow wire and adhesive mesh in crates... walk 1k out of the village... find a rancor or some other high-level MOB... throw and adhesive mesh, toss a bunch of glowire until the adhesive wears off and repeat. You can max out your trapping xp on one creature and only be 1k from the village. The conversion rate isn't great, but if you are in a hurry to max out your FS xp (which it seems you are) this is VERY fast way to do it. Plus, killing some creatures to get your resources for traps also gets you scouting xp. My comments here really have nothing to do with whether or not you do this while AFK. It's just that you can probably get 100x the FS xp in 10x less time.

JBMat wrote:Why not harvest and trap your way to Jedi?I am doing the Luck tree. Scout xp from harvesting and running around maskscented is so easy to get it is silly. Trap xp sucks as it is 25-1, altho I can max traps in one trip to a certain POI.Geeze, I get xp going to and from the village. How easy is that?Camping? Takes way way way too long. And your macro is silly. Sit and craft more camps is a lot easier, you continue to get xp.Camp your way to Jedi... big hint, get Dancer, it's easier, trust me on this. A buddy is doing it and the macro is easier.JB
Rancor Valley or the kimo vill
Though i got a mass of scouting XP camoing everyone in the village the other night (about 10k's worth) just basicly spraying everyone wither they knew it or not, prevented the sith agroing on everyone for some reason (also works on NS's rangers and stalkers)

I learned to love camping, especially setting up a high tech field base :-)

Well this is possible, not really desirable imho
But odds are you can tuck yourself away in a corner of a remote planet and never be noticed while you AFK camp
Camps will stay up a max of 45 minutes, what you need to do to make this work is simple place a camp kit in each slot of your toolbar starting at 01.
the macro itself is fairly simple, you just make it loop and call each toolbar slot over and over
. You will get lots of message about having a camp built already but thats ok.
What this wiill do is keep the macro going until the camp poofs on its own, then will pop open a new camp and keep going. Forget about trying to use a macro to disband the camp.
You also need to do somme other things to keep from going auto afk, adding a /say line into your macro works well, also add some other actions like sit/stand and /forage (you get XP for the foraging too, but you get an inventory full of junk)
you can roughly determine how long it will take you to get the XP level you need. (a Field Base will get you about 1120 camping XP per 45 minute session) Basically it will take you about 66 hours of this to get 100k XP. (wont that be fun?)
Also a word of warning, as Rebel Ranger, I make it a point to man track Imperial Jedi in the wildnerness and sell their WPs to bounty hunters and Rebel Jedi. I can make some serious credits if I can offer up a AFK camper for execution ;-)
Good luck, youll prolly need it.

TBH you get max xp for a camp in 20mins if alone, 2 people = 15mins, 3 people = 10mins, 4 people = 5 mins.
better off getting a fewpeople together (artisan, artisan and medic) all 4 of u sit in you camp, they survey medic heals (they get that xp) and you get the camp xp resetting it manually every 5mins (while fishing if u have a good survey spot by a river)
did all of scout wilderness... oh cant remmber how long but was 1 sitting!

If you have JTL, take up your fighter and scuttle it. When you get back to planetside, you will have loads of wounds for your camp to heal. Actually, just blackbar yourself silly and then you should be able to set up a camp and max it out in about 10-12 minutes.
As far as the feasibility of it, /shrug. Its your dollar.

To be fair to Kyei, he is a MCH, MRM who does not use buffs (crazy fool).
He also doesnt grind, more plays the game to get XP. As FSXP is slow, and trips to the village are a pain, i think he just wants to get as much xp as possible per trip - so why not get some xp AFK. Its a far better way of doing it than sitting on static spawns AFK and stealing kills from all the new guys!!!
Have fun

Because getting XP AFK is simply reprehensible to many players. It implies that you want to get something for little to no effort. That is wrong. No game should reward people for not being at the keyboard. This is why recursive macros are being removed from the game. Because despite all the potential benefits, people abused the system to the point where developers couldn't ignore it and had to change it. So because people couldn't regulate themselves, we're losing the positive benefits of recursive macros.

IMHO, you can blame the entertainers for this not the campers (ranger and scout kind, not the looters).

A true entertainer will not go AFK, if you wand to blame someone for all the AFKing in the entertainer profession, then blame all the hologrinders, and by that extension most of the Jedi.
Then you can start blaming all the combatants that claim they cannot live with out instant access to mind buffs 24/7.
It really is a mentality problem. The problem is that for some people only the destination mater, only ubre count, and getting that as fast as possible and by any means possible is legit to them. It is the same mentality that makes people come here and ask for a camping macro.
Place blame where blame is due, not on a single profession, but on an entire play style.

The only are is in Sense that help you in the FS and any maskscent/camo, harvesting and traps go for this so don't bother with the camps it takes way too long. I can max this out in fairly short order and never use camps.
