Okay, after a mammoth session of just under 8 hours, I finally logged this morning leaving ken' at Scout 1111 / Marksman 2002
XP is suspiciously slow to get, there appears to be a system in place that means that if you are attacking a creature, whether you are grouped or not, and are outdamaged by another player with whom you are not grouped with, you get no weapons XP and you may lose harvest rights to the kill.
Progression in Scout is slow as it takes a while to put the prey down. MoB behaviours are a bit 'odd' just now with creatures being more aggressive outside the newb areas and generally a lot tougher to kill. This of course means its taking longer to get to harvest them.
In a small group (four riflemen) we tried tackling torton and found that we didn't even dent the thing.
I then headed over to Durban to do some trap slinging and level up a bit on weapons XP. I was dead within 30s as the panthers now seem to have a ranged / area attack that hits HARD and can reach you on the balcony.
Another thing I noticed was that players will now run / drive back into town to train up rather than asking group members if they can teach them (Forum ranger groups excepted). I asked one player why he did this and he said he doesn't like asking people to train him now as they don't get anything out of it and anyway, its only a few k per level.

Wouldn't be much and wouldn't have ANY impact on the major parts of gameply other than providing a tiny incentive to have group training rather than NPC training.
Just a thought.
Or... a hat

Well has the server been up at all. I must have checked it 20 to 30 times in the last 18 hours and it always says "all servers are up except TC". So how do you test something you can't even get into.
Why in the world did they have us sign up for beta testing and then turn all around in the last few days and go this route? If they wanted to let everyone have access then why in the world are we using only one server? Why are they not using four or five at least. This is very frustrating.

it says Test Center is down, but TC-5 is up and that's where the CU is!

On the post screen it says this:
" When writing your message, remember to keep the language clean."
I'm trying to minimize my emotions. figuring that this has to be fixed.
10,000 credits for the first one who can name off the top of their head all of the top tier professions that require you master a novice profession.
All of them quick.. you have 5 seconds..

YES, you are correct... ONLY RANGER.
Because it is the most uber of all of the professions. It alone requires a Master novice profession.
Profs that used to require master novices but dont anymore.
BH (once used to require 2 novice profs)
Doc

hmm... I think that it can't stay this way.

Or, to view it another way....
I'm quite happy to have to Master Scout prior to Mastering Ranger. Just make Master Ranger actually WORTH it. Make it the best dang stealth / hunting profession in the game, with opportunity for using traps against pets, NPCs and players, with TRUE stealth capabilties, with even better creature damage mitigation or to hit mods, with poison and disease resistances, with true big game hunting and tracking capabilities. +60 to harvesting alone when I'm slower than every other dual-master combat prof in the game after CU goes liveisn't going to do that, but I'm willing to see what comes after.
We stand fast, test what we can, and wait on our revamp. Yes, we wait. We're Rangers. We're patient. We sit in our camps, we test, we gather our data, we learn, we adapt.

I have looked everywhere, but I still cant find an answer to this question: Will we be able to master both ranger and an elite combat proff? Since an elite combat proff needs some more skill points in the CU,the skill points is not enuff to master both Ranger and a elite combat proff? Or? Have I been missing something?

You've been missing something. It's everywhere. You are able to master ranger and an elite combat prof, leaving you with 4 extra SP to spend. If you choose to master BH, you will have an extra 18sp to spend. I would direct you to this info, but it really is all over the boards... everywhere.

you know, i'm allabout getting a revamp, and i like the current ranger lifestyle, but am not too content with sitting in a camp for 2, 3, maybe more months waiting on a revamp. i'll probably drop ranger for while depending on what happens when we can access in TC. i'm not sacrificing more fun factor just to be patient.
but, i wont make any decisions until we can actually unlock ranger on TC

so it would be sorta logical to assume that they would not let this stay for long, correct? i mean, why would they pick one and only one profession to screw? i think we're in for either wicked skills, or a skill point revamp in the near future. maybe the Ranger revamp was scheduled post-CU because they knew that Ranger would need more than just a facelift.
patience is key, and I forsee great things for Rangers (unless they eliminate the entire profession in the future...). haha, I love spreading fear!

I tend to agree with this. I think we're in for a decent suprise after the CU. One, either they're going to dump Ranger all together, or two, we're going to be VERY happy with what comes down the pipeline in the way of a Ranger revamp.
But hey, I've been wrong before... once.
