will ranger/scout traps ever be usable on player's pets? that would be interesting in my opinion, and also give players an advantage over CH in pvp combat.

Impressive list -- we'll see how the delivery goes.

While I emphatically disagree with the suggestion that Tracking somehow "ruined" EQ, I do think any such ability needs to be higher up the tree than Novice Ranger. There are already too many people dabbling in Scout; they'll all turn into Rangers if they get Tracking as an enlistment bonus. It doesn't help that the Scout profession already feeds two of the most popular professions in the game (Bounty Hunter and Creature Handler).

I -LIKE - IT - ALOT!

Seeing as though /scanarea might be the only skill that would involve other players (PVP implications) i would like to see the /conceal skill be able to negate the /scanarea skill.

Maybe have a check when scanning area to see if theres concealed players and if the concealed players were concealed by a higher ranking ranger then they wouldnt show up on the tracking!

I think it ought to be mentioned that the range of the scanarea skill will be very important!! There's no sense in the skill if it's range isntfarther than 64m thats for sure. But i think if they made it like the survey skill is now that would be cool!!!

Man oh Man!!!!!!! I can't begin to tel you how excited reading that made me. I have enjoyed playing a Ranger so far, but I always felt that we were just glorified Scouts. Now we will be our own profession, and a good one to boot. Thanks devs, and you too Mineras.

All I can say is "WOW".

First post here on the forums. I've been following SWG for ages but just recently got a new computer was able to start playing. There was no question that I'd be a Ranger. I've played Rangers in every other RPG (online or other) that I've ever played. I have to admit, when I started playing SWG, and reading about things, I thought for a bit to try other professions.

Then I read your post Holo.

There will be another Ranger on Intrepid in the not to distant future.

Thanks for listening to the input!

on the rare 'an item was foraged by your inventory is full' bug...

I've noticed that this ALWAYS happens when I already have five foraged items.

I thought it had something to do with the fact that I still only have +5 in forage, and thus couldn't get more than 5 items. *shrugs*

I like it! That's exactly what I think a ranger should be able to do.

Definitely sounds good, the following issues though I think still have not been addressed:

1. Terrain Negotiation and Burst Run from wayfaring tree. We would like to see an increase in flat land terrain negotiation or a modified burst run, ie. shorter reuse timer, longer duration.

2. I know it has been mentioned that conceal would not apply to players but I really think it should potentially be an element of PvP. Using the conceal kit would make it so you don't show up on radar etc, so a group of players would be able to lay down an ambush or something to that effect. As of now the PvP changes for us to affect pets is great, will make us actually have a specific use in PvP vs. the pokemon trainers. But this would make us an even more valuable asset to a pvp group.
