What, if any, are the advantages to being a master politician ?

What happens if i surrender some skills after getting to Master Politician ? (i.e will i keep my faction mission terminals if i no-longer have the skills to place them?)

What is the recommended skills profile to retain a master placed city and get as many skillpoints back as possible?

The facts of what happened to me :

The mayor of our city wanted to retire. I entered the race for the job, and was fortunate enough to win the election. I received my xp for my votes with no problems. However, this week, as the incumbent I got no experience. I received 35 votes in the prior weeks election (got 3500 points), and this week when the update occured I had 56 votes (out of 83 citizens, another politician running had 6). As incumbent, from what I've read and been told by other mayors ingame, I was supposed to receive all votes except those that were from people that physically came to city hall and voted for someone else. However, I received no xp for this election. I filed a ticket ingame, and today got a response. I was reimbursed only for those votes that were physically cast for me (I know 56 people didnt walk in city hall this week and vote for me though either ). It's not a big deal to me, I can place trainers, we are already at the specialization we want at, I can manage militia, place statues, etc...The city will move along without a hitch.

What is important to me, is that future mayors (and CSR's for that matter) know the correct setup as to how this system works. I was told you only receive xp for votes physically cast for you. I cannot prove otherwise firsthand, and sure cant produce facts or data to the contrary from ingame through 'tells'.

Thank you Bajeezus, for speaking to the CSR lead about the problems I posted above. The main thing is that we know whats expected of us, and what the 'rules' are, and that the CSR's know the same. Thanks again, you rock!

I live in North Beach, Naboo on Starsider.

We have Research Center status (and yes it has been maintained).

Ever since the latest updates went live our city crafters no longer receive the Research Center bonus to experimentation successes.

I am an Architect. Before we became a Research Center I got approx 1 amazing success in 10.
After we became a Research Center I got approx. 9 amazing successes in 10.
Now after the updates, we are still a Research Center, but I get approx. 1 amazing success in 10.

Thanks,

2) Very much related to the first problem. When i enable zoning rights i cannot give anyone permission to build, i get the message, "You need to be the mayor or a militia member to grant zoning rights" Non of my militia can do it either... so the city has to be set to allow free placement of buildings.

I had this problem, try the following it seems to be working for us. Both the person granting and the person building have to be within 5 meters of one another AND the both have to be Outside inside the city limits.

This last part is the key. Lots of mayors try to GZR people in City Hall, and it doesn't work, you have to go outside. Naturally, the error message /grantzoning gives you inside City Hall isn't anything useful like "This doesn't work inside City Hall, go outside dummy" - it has to be nonsense like "You must be the mayor or a member of the militia," which of course you are. But that's the solution - go out in front.

The /cityban command allows banned individuals to reclone in the spot of their corpse if they clonedat the City'sCloning Centerprior to be being banned.

Are you serious?

Good lord, THAT is a useful bit of info if true...

Imagine... A PA gets together a group to go raid a dungeon (or the like)

First, they all clone in in the cities station. Then it's off to the Dungeon/Factional base/Dragon/etc...

When close, they /tell the keeper (back in city hall)who promptly /bans them.

Now, everyone can Fight, die, CLONE ON-Site!!!!!! and keep fighting. Pretty much makes em invincible!!!

(Cept for the damage to armor, but heck.......)

It would nothold true in the scenario you describe above becauseyou cannot ban someone if they are not within range or within City limit. This is only happening in the specific incident when someone enters your City, clones atyour City's Cloning Center, gets banned and then dies within the City. They are still given the choice to clone at the pre-designated spot and then miraculously revives in the exact spot where they die.

I have seen this happen in our City on more than one occasion during raids.

Does that make sense?

City ban - Need to be able to truely ban... they cannot enter city limits period. Need to be able to ban a citizen as well. Example : We are a rebel/nuet city , a citizen goes IMP but is still a citizen, brings IMP friends to city etc etc you get the picture

Pardon - Should work from anywhere

Recruiters - Master politicians should be able to place a faction recruiter

Cloning Center -Tax? Would like to be able to tax this

BE trainer - Where are they hiding?

Bazaar Terminals -Would like to see these added to cities

Politician Income - Would like to see a small amount given to Mayors

Master Politician - What is the motivation to achieve this? Need an added bonus/skill put in place. Lower maint fees sounds reasonable to me

Non Citizen Tax - Need a seperate tax for non citizens within a city, Mayors need a way to discourage homes just taking up valuable property. To many non citizens over time and your city cannot stay healthy anymore.

Militia - Really need to be able to Add/REMOVE without them being right in front of you, As of now I cant even remove someone from militia at all, it says they are removed by they truely arent

Information Center - Would like a way to help visitors find what they are looking for in city. Some use a merchant tent and a vendor, A barking droid would work if we would be able to park it by the shuttle and leave it there.

The tax on items bought in the city doesn't go towards the city. It goes into the vendor owner's pocket. I have tested this. Maybe it's just on Kettemore, maybe it's just the 7% tax I put on, regardless, this needs to be fixed. I have masters of every profession with the exception of chef in my town and they sell a great deal of high-priced items. And currently, our matience fee is around 75k a week, and we only have 32 citizens. That money is coming out of my purse and the tax that the city should be getting is going into the Vendor's pocket. I only noticed this bug after my friend brought it up.

I can't confirm this for other prices/servers, so please, try this out ASAP so we can try to bring more attention to this.

Not sure if this has been reported or not but...

On some occasions, a player uses a Player Garage, pays to repair a vehicle. At some point just after they store it, ot it stores itself, and when called has lost the repair :/

some of these aren't bugs per se, but they may relate to the bugs, so I put them in....... hope you guys don't mind

Player Owned Theaters have many bugs:

  • no sign on the outside
  • the access fee is only applicable to the backstage (which forces one to charge the performers but not the audience)
  • similarly do-baders can only be banned from the back stage... if they are banned from the backstage they can still walk freely about the sidewalks and in the audience section of the theater
  • items that can be 'used' on the world map (particularly the nalargon and omni box) will not stay on any surface of the theater... these items fall through all surfaces down to the ground
  • the stage and audience sections of the theater are not 'dropable' meaning that item cannot be 'dropped' or placed in those sections
  • entertainment healing only works in the backstage of the theater; it does not work in the audience or stage sections

Player Owned Cantinas:

  • can't put stuff on top of the bar
  • the shelfs behind the bar aren't really there (it's just a solid wall
  • registering an acitve entertainer is quite buggy

Cloning Centers:

  • we should be able to set fees on cloning and a tax on insuring (would be nice if we could exempt citizens from it and many other taxes)

Citizens Permissions (i.e. militia)

  • should not, by default, have the ability to grant zoning rights

  • the mayor should be able to seletively grant a militia member all the powers that a mayor has except for city finances, changing city name, and of course destroying city hall

Skill Trainers:

  • there should be some sorta of 'frequency of use counter' for each one...

Signs - for the love of holocrons, please give us signs to place as decoratoins in the city and with editable text that can be read by clicking 'read' on the radial menu............. I do NOT mean billboards

thanks
