Not good. Not good at all. The database is the major threat to this game beyond the broken professions, imbalances nerfs and lack of content. Let the race begin... I suspect many of our guild may quit if we can't build our city, spent soooo much time building the town.

I'm sorry, but 130 cities should be enough? Right now half the cities in the game are barren. Try finding the necessary, basic services outside of the major cities on each planet, it is usually very difficult. The census in this game isn't even high enough to support all the NPC cities and some people think that it is high enough to support even 10 more, much less 100? What am I missing?
No it is not enough. My small PA doesnt want a HUGE city, don't even want a shuttle port. We had plans from day one of only being an outpost, or small city at the most. Just a little corner of the "galaxy" to call our own, now it more than likely will not happen.
130is the only way to move this to Live so they can do the load testing necessary to tweak the database. That could actually be a good battlecry to get TC up to Live server populations, if they wanted ![]()
It's not enough, but it's a far cry better than 3,400 15 person Villages that'll close up in a month for lack of use.
I feel sick...
This has potential to be a game breaker for me and my guild.

Same.
How....utterly moronic.
Our town is in the same boat as some of the posters above. We’re a town of about 15 people 5km from a NPC city on Naboo. We have a bunch more people ready to move in once a City Hall is placed. With the proposed limit of 10 cities on Naboo it becomes very likely that weeks and weeks of planning, rallying and organising (not to mention hopes and dreams of a growing city) will be wasted. Getting myself trained, flying to another shuttle port, then running 5km to meet the waiting Architect is going to be awful. Will we make it? Who knows?
A UOish land rush? No thank you. Been there, done that. Like Jebu, I saw many quit after such an event. There is additional balancing to be done, and I am bringing it up with you Thunderheart. Find another solution, do it before the launch of the city system. Please.
Having only 10 cities on a planet will not promote cooperation, it will end up as one big fight for power, and who is that fun for? The politicians? Maybe, but only a few, those who already have the power. Please do not look at the situation thinking that it will be full of political intrigue and drama. I’m quite confident that it wont be.
I could be just ranting here, but I’m in a ranting kinda mood now. Demoralised, that’s the word that sums up my current feelings. Heh, I don’t even know if what I’ve just written makes any sense. What a horrible thing to announce at this stage of Player City development.

The 'griefing' of player cities has already begun. We set up 8km from a starport and 2km from the nearest player-owned building. Within a week another group started planting buildings and harvesters all over the place, ruining the planned layout. We either "deal with it", or move everything again.
