How bout this oversight...not being able to email your citizens from the city management terminal?
Have just stumbled across a problem... we have just placed a shuttleport in our City, but the location was bad, so we redeeded it.
The deed was returned to the inventory, the ticket collector, travel terminal and management terminal where removed but the structure remained....
When trying to place the shuttleport again, we are informed that we are allowed only 1 structure of this type can be placed.
What can we do about this?
Can anyone help us out?
months, nigh game years,
It is not on the devs priority list. They are too concerned with ubering a nerfed profession like chef.
Hiya all could use some help on which way to turn. Today was the start of my third week in office and I have had the following bugs:
-Statues and gardens that have been removed from the City are still showing up at the City terminal and we are still paying for them. This is making for tough budgeting.
-People that have left the city, have no residence in the city are still listed on the terminal as citizens. I have no idea how many actual residents we have.
-Prior to this week I had 1200 xp and we have 84 declared citizens, there was no one running against me, BUT after this weeks vote I only had 7000xp. I am confused.
Now I am thinking that my second issue could have something to do with the third, but am not exactly positive and if that is the case although we think we have 84 we might only have 58 ( according to votes received) and at some point could lose the shuttle if we didnt have a handle on only 4 citizens leaving.
Am I missing something?
Also a note, I have sent in a bug report every time an issue has arisen and as soon as I get my ticket #, I check my open tickets are there are none.
Help please!
Hmmm instead of the Politician Forum this could be called How To Properly Submit Bug Reports or a number of wonderful euphanisms for the trade.
You will find in other posts that your problems are not unique.
Also that you have a hard row to hoe ahead of you. The best thing that you can do is prepare yourself and your citizens for dissappointment.
I have not recieved my 7800 xp this week and I have submitted 4 /bug reports and 1 Customer Service Ticket that I am fixing to add a comment too. Too bad we can't incap CSRs or rather their bosses that give them these mundane lines that you can read elsewhere.
I wish the devs would make Player Cities a priority but they are more concerned with Player Associations and making the Imps invunerable. The Devs goals are 1) PVP and 2) ignoring everything else.
So, in conclusion, a bug report is different from a CS Ticket.

This is my first week in mayor hell, but I can tell you what I am doing.
Instead of bug reports, I am placing customer service tickets. This way I know for sure they need to see it. Also include the galaxy, planet, city and waypoint of the problem. Devs say they need this to fix things.
As for the non- citizen citizens, evidently there is a new bug that allow players dual citizenship. How did I find this? Attempting to locate all the "real" citizens, I put the whole city roster on my friends list, with annotations of who was missing in action. When they come up on line, I send a polite tell, asking them their status. I have now tracked down all who are online, and the rest I just must wait the 6 weeks to disappear from the game. The problem is, although I get their vote automatically, it plays hell on the budget, because you don't know who is bankrupt and not paying taxes. You, like I, will have to pay careful attention on the upgrade of how much actual income comes in. And, reading these forums, I am aware that the city may not be getting its sales tax or shuttle fees. Oh boy, what fun.
Can you say "no new taxes"? LOL

Thanks for the info Cettina and welcome to the wonderful world of Politician
.
I do have to say that although there are LOTS of bugs that are making the politician role difficult, to say the least, I really do enjoy the position.
I hope that at some point soon alot of these "issues" get resolved, but until then I am trying to concentrate on the fun stuff.....Planning some events in our city, placing decorations and the definately unique social position that the Mayor role puts you in.
I can't wait to see improvements and repairs to the profession and then I can say to everyone, "You have it so easy now as Mayor, why in my day......" lol. We might not have a light at the end of the tunnel yet, butcross your fingers that it will be soon.
