Frankly i think your attitude towards us the aspiring politicians has gone from great to piss poor.

I dont know what happened between you and soe but there is a definate change about you since your previous departure.

I want the old plinka back, But this plinka can go to hell.

So I /sign for the removal of this plinka unless plinka returns back to before the leak.

ok here's something MOST people do not realize. Corespondants are ONLY messangers for SOE. They are not our messengers to send ideas, comments, etc etc. When a corespondant asks for a top 5 list, it's cause Thunderheart wants a top 5 list. Now the keyowrds here are, Cause They asked for it. A corespondants job is not to spam the dev's and CSR's with ideas and such. Corespondants are people who volunteer to be the eyes and ears of SOE. They are in no way our "representatives to congress." As for this threa, Plinka placed it cause people were asking why some people wanted her removed. People wanted to see the reasons, and some people wanted a thread to complain about her in. By being a good, fair person, she created this thread specifically for you people to rant about her in. That way our board isn't cluttered with 500 "remove Plinka" threads.

Funny post Plinka is alright in my book.

This is a game, folks. We're all trying to enjoy ourselves - even our volunteer correspondent. Be nice to her, she has done alot for this profession, and is very well-suited for the role.

While i dont agree with this thread all together, the fact that plinka is being a smart ass about this and her attitude lately is why i think its time for plink to go.

I play this game to have fun. I understant that thier job is to report information. But i dont come to these message boards to see somebody verbally slamming somebody else (much less a official soe rep) while trying to gather information.

Thats completely unprofessional and uncalled for.

plinka this is the forst time i have actually felt you allowed yourself to get too ionvolved, I could say a lot of things that might get me in trouble but please consider deleting this thread unless you can not handle being the messenger?

what i mean i simply this, if you are the mssenger sometimes you are the one that takes the heat, I think you ahve done an excellent job, but do not get overly emotional or invovled that you allow stupid comments to dissuade you from your involvement.

If you do desire to stand down then i would offer to take up the position if you really want to stand down.

Sincerely,

I am critical when you make a rare mistake, Plinka, but I support you as Correspondent and think you should stay. Eventually I think it should be rotated over to Live mayors who are more in touch with what's brewing over there, but that will come in time. You don't deserve the boot and you shouldn't be removed.

You should deffinitely stay, although if you were removed I could potentially form a coup and be given access to the correspondent forums...hmm

OK, but what you also fail to see is that what Plinka says and what SOE says are 2 different things. And to be bluntly honest, which I'm sure Plinka and the other corespondants have seen, sometimes it doesn't matter to SOE what she says. You have to keep in mind that SOE wants input from her/us ONLY when they ask for it. That's not the best way of doing things sometimes, but it is the way it is. People need to realize this and stop bashing her. They need to see that if we are getting screwed it's not Plinka's fault.

I.E. our current issue with the /citywarn removal. I would bet anyone here that they didNOT ask Plinka or any of us for our input before they decided to remove the command. SOE just saw a few people exploiting it and decided to remove it. We never got asked our opinions on it, and Plinka found out about it the same way all of us have.

I'm afraid that I must agree with the idea that the Politician Correspondent should be rotated to . . . and sorry to do this, but I must quote from a PM I received from Thunderheart in regards to thisbasic topic . . . someone who is more "involved". But unlike him, who thinks that the most deserving person is one centered on TC, I believe that the most deserving people for the Correspondent positions are those who primarilyplay the final product and see how it is effecting the hundred thousand plus, not the five or six thousand who make TC their home. Plinka, I'm afraid you sealed me on that with your remark on dropping everything for the people with a game-breaking problem on their galaxy.

While TC people are obviously paying and playing customers as well, the mass of the player base is the ones using the finalized product, the ones who have to live for months with the daily changes that happen over there. I'm not saying, Plinka, that you can't do this from where you play, but that you are giving the appearance that you are not fully representing the entirety, or even the majority, of the player base. We're feeling left behind out here.

I agree completely, but as we all ask for more communication from SOE themselves, as players speaking to a player Correspondent, knowing that our concerns are being relayed is paramount. Which would have been the better approach . . . this thread, or a remark from Plinka saying that she would do what she could to relay our concerns to the powers that be?

I don't vote people out of office, I just try to convince them of somthing else. I will continue to support /citywarn and maybe somthing will interest you enough to see my arguement, although on most everything else I think you are doing a pretty good job on too.
