Yes, with the new change in TC the only time you can clone at a player cloning center is if you stored your data there.

I'd prefer the solution you mentioned (let a player choose whether they want the closest PC or closest NPC), but what they have now is definitely a start, and removes the only real reason to take /citywarn away.

Sasheria if someone is griefing in your cantina...can you eject them?

More to the point what do you do to such a person when they are not in your cantina? what if he gets 10 of his Master Bounty hunter buddies and they do it and destroy your militia? griefing is to be handled by CSRs you take screenshots and you /report them...

Its great that you see the potential of /citywarn I do to...but more people see it as a great tool for griefing...and any Tool that has the ability to be used as griefing WILL be used for griefing...but for you to keep your city militia as is...others must suffer?

Cho,

There is no crime commited that can't be handeled by add ignore?

i beg to differ,

If i alone paid 750k for a city hall, i built my city with friends, i have people abusing opther people in my city by a city member, i have paid for or supplied the resources for literally every single structure to be made and someone still decides to use deception and attempt a hostile take over. By all means i want my militia to do their job!

I hired them to protect my city, i used my xp to get that ability to do so and byall emans that is what they are there for otherwise there is no point in having a local militia.

I couldnot agree further with you that adding someone to the ignore list is the answer. Ignoring an alcoholic does not make the problem go away.

Ignoring a heroine addict does not mean the problem is resolved.

Ignoring the problem does not make the problem a solved one.

It is this mindset that causes problems today.

Ignoring your kids cry for help does not make their cries anything other then unheard.

In this case i could not disagree with you more.

I disagree. Player cities cannot be compared to static cities. They are supposed to add a new dimension to our SWG. Second, player cities can be anything the majority wants it to be. There are no rules saying overts cannot inforce their own laws and beliefs. If the citizens dont like it then wait a week and vote in a new mayor.

That being said...Citywarn needs to be tweaked. This is for certain. There should be a 2 min. timer before the militia can open fire. In those 2 mins it could allow them time to escort the target out of it's borders. I see nothing wrong with that and would allow the mayor and his/her subordinates to police their fair town.

That's what I want from my city.

I disagree with the original poster.

If your /citywarn or /cityban you are NOT WANTED at that city. Leave and never return. Why would you want to be somewhere your not wanted unless it is to verbally grief its residents??

If you would stay out of towns your not wanted in you won't have any problems.

Poor Olepi...

As soon as you said I hired them to protect MY city...you became wrong... You paid for the city hall...thank your for your contribution the second you placed that city hall it became public and any mayor can now own it if they get the votes and toss you out... Its good that you invested so much into the city of Your Resources and Your Money but as soon as you put it in the city it became the Peoples Money and the Peoples Resoures..and if the people are about to vote you out? will YOU destroy YOUR city hall?

Dont ignore the problem...of course not...but do not give Morale authority to those who cannot handle it...if you have griefers in your city or out of your city /report and screenshots do pretty good

/report and screenshots do absolutely nothing except in the most extreme citcumstances.

And who are you to say who can and can't handle moral authority? Andwer: no one. If a current group of people are in power in a city, they have the authority whether they deserve it in your eyes or not. If you don't like it, find a way to change it. But don't take a NEEDED tool away from everyone just because you think a few people might abuse it.

So the current mayor should have the power toAttack anyone who might run against him or vote against him? You have the ability to warn me...then after 30 seconds you can attack me at your leisure. I can only defend if you actually attack me. I want to run against you as mayor because I know you are just getting rich withdrawing taxes every time you can and you harass players who want to vote against you...so every time I come around to try and vote or run, or my supporters do BAM dead...well what can I do...I can move...but Ive invested months of living here...guess thats what Ill have to do...pick up and move because you have to have it just like this...give the Devs a chance to change it...make it work better.

1. They changed the timer from 30 seconds to 2 minutes on TC before they made the short-sighted decision to remove it entirely. You can do A LOT on 2 minutes, including get to the city hall and vote from any point in the city.

2. If a mayor did this, that means the majority of citizens in the city wanted him to. If they disagree, then they'll vote him out and choose someone else, maybe even you because you were EASILY able to get to the city hall, register to run against him, and vote foryourself in the 2 minutes you had after you were warned.

Sounds to me like you are being just as selfish here. Why would you have more right to live there? In your story he is the mayor, he was elected by the majority. If the majority vote a jerk in, get enough people together and vote him out, or move away. If the goverment wont let you remove them, then move away. Do you somehow know what is best for the city? Maybe the majority dont mind the mayor getting a salary.
