Welcome to the Political Subcommitee on Debate and Dialogue.
We've got a great community within the political profession and I figure we should get a spot just to chat. True, there is the weekly post Pappi continues on, but that is fairly on the topic of what occured in your town the past week. This will be a forum for a less formal discussion between politicians ranging in all manner of topics. Feel free to stonewall, filibuster, and dilly dally. No question will be taboo and no scandal shameful. It goes without saying, but lay off of libel and ad hominem attacks, also please don't let this chat thread turn into a long rant against the developers.
The chairman yields the floor.
Yes, this idea was heavily influenced by the great DVader's rifleman hall in the rifleman forum.
oooh! its a forum congress and like the poli dev and the RL congress we can talk about issues, make resolutions and initiatives and watch as nothing changes! yes!
Well my post count keeps changing

it goes much faster if you don't peek at it...
man, lookie our post count, we post way too much O.o I'm not that hardcore, but I have 65 days worth of online forum time, I hope that's just because I leave my browser on sometimes
Rather than a direct taxation of citizens I tax only on sales tax and large services (shuttle, garage). The difference in the cost is made up by donations to the city by the wealthier citizens. This comes with a price as they normally demand such things as what specialization we have and where they are allowed to place things. However they allow me enough funds to place as many gardens and decorations I want, as well as keep my citizens happy by providing for every citizen a medium home to start out with.
I think its along the lines of a corrupt socialism. While the government does provide for the majority of the daily needs of the citizens, it is heavily influenced by big buisness. Any thoughts?

This is hardly a political discussion, as nobody has referred to anyone as "my esteemed colleague from Corellia" then called him an idiot. So, if I may...
While my esteemed colleague from Corellia may give merit to such oridnary and popular ice cream choices, I would be remiss if I did not mention the flavorful "Sour Green Apple Ice" frozen treats available at Handel's Ice Cream stores nationwide. While technically not an iced cream, it does fall into the frozen confectionary category, and must be considered. Idiot.
You can store Ice Cream over at Port Agrilat Bim? I figured with all your mismanagement and corrupt Imperial doctrines there wouldn't be a working ice box for klicks around. I must admit my previous stance towards your den of villainy is quite anitquated. Perhaps my security entourage and I should pay it a visit soon. ![]()
Now if the topic where to be enhanced to all frozen treats then the mere idea of an argument would be laughable due to the scope of all that this entails. From frozen bannanas, to pizzas how could one choose one type and stick with it? It would be a laudable debate if it could truly come to a close but I highly doubt that the bickering over anchovies and pushpops would halt. Let us leave it to the proposed debate brought about by our esteemed correspondent and regional governer and leave these silly tangential treats out.

Oh and congrats on the win over at the ent beach blast. I really wanted to make it but rl concerns prevented my appearance. Heard it was a great time for all.

I mean it's close to a given to assume that we're all politically aware and possibly active but does anyone actually put on a suit and tie and make governmental decisions during their offline time? Closest I get to that is taking a couple poli sci courses as core requirements over duller crap classes.
Yes I am an elected offical. I am the precient committieeman for the 60 pct in Bloomingdale Township, Illinios. I have been very busy with the elections comming up. People keep stealing and knocking over my campaing signs. I am talking with canidates, organizing canvassings, explianing to police why your walking down a busy street with hammer.
If you are a political junkie like me, and have a pull to one party or another you should sign up to be a committieman or committieewoman. Many of these positions go unfilled year after year. The best way to get involved if your intrested is contact a member of your local county political party, the best way of doing this is by doing a quick google search such as Sarasota County Democratic Party or Orange County Republican party and pull up thier webpage and tell them you want to get involved.
Now if you want to get into a debate: what do you guys think of Sinclare Broadcasting forcing its television stations to air a 2 hour John Kerry documentary.

You're $hitten' me. I live in Lockport (township so I'm actually right next to Joliet, Stateville is like a mile from my house)which isn't all that far away from there. Well I do during the summer and Winter anyhow due to college. What're the odds for this?

Speaking of Supermax prisions... I knew a girl who lived literally across the street from the Supermax in Pontiac IL. She was on a tour of the prison one day and was in the guard tower. She picked up one of the binaculars and could read the time off the alarm clock in her bedroom. Needless to say she has her drapes closed more often.
I really havent been around all that often to my city. I did warn them that i might not be around during election time. I hope they haven't forgotten me.
