Thread: Petition to remove Plinka from office.
For a minute I thought I had stumbled in to the BH forums...so much drama. Plinka has done a good job in my estimation as an observer.

sintrosi has had trouble with the drama thing to in DE, and plinka has done a great job, i seriously doubt many other people could do so well, my primary remark is still what i am sticking by this and the previous forums were to drama provoking, it would be nice to see more drama not be created by the correspondant. ill stick by any of them cause they got a tough lot in life, but seeing one make additional drama is bad.

LMAO! I would sign that petition too. OR maybe SOE could give us all a day where we could grief the griefers and exploit against the exploiters. Nerf exploiters and griefers!
Also, to whom that made the comment about Plinka needing to leave TC and try the live content. I would personally be glad to give her a house, and citizenship in my city, on my server, if she wished to play on a live server occasionally.

I must have missed that comment, Bandlero - I just skimmed back over the thread and didn't see it, but it's quite possible that it's there.
On the off chance that you're referring to what I wrote, though: I didn't say that Plinka should play on Live, I said that the Politician Correspondent *position* should be rotated to a Live mayor eventually. Nobody has to move, in fact if they did, they probably wouldn't be a Mayor or MP in their new homes for quite a while, so in effect, if you rotate servers, you have to rotate people. But I still think Plinka should stay until then.
They should test things on TC, but they should also be intimately aware of what happens with such changes on live servers. People play differently in test environments than they do on the regular servers, so how people will handle the code on live really can't be effectively determined there. While I agree that the correspondent should of course test the code, they should (IMHO) be an active part of the live player team so that they can best understand where the real playerbase is coming from. I've remained quiet on this until now, but Plinka's own comments served to need it to be voiced. I only wish I had never had to say it.
