I would like to toss my hat into the ring for Politician Correspondent. I am 24 years old, single and work customer service. My work schedule offers me a wide variety of free time to assist, especialy in the daytime during business hours. Working in customer service I am often handed the more difficult customers and usually have them walking away content. I guess what I am saying is a am not blunt or argumentative, more of a diplomatic in how i word things. Don't get me wrong i am not going to sugar coat things to us or to the developers.

In the game,I have been a mayor of Vodo-Siosk Dantooine (eclipse) since the 3rd month of player cities. The citizenship voted out the founding mayor and i was elected. My city, as with many, has gone through its ups and downs but i think I have done a decent job.I have charged my way up toMaster Politician asfastas I could, andI have been enjoying it all the way.I have been playing this game sine day #3 and it wasonly MMO that i got into, theonly other one i played being Earth and Beyond (and that doesn't count). While mayor i did fall victim to politician xp bug, The CSR who contacted me was very helpful and got me my xp back quickly. When ever one of my citizens falls victem to a bug I am ussally one of the first ones they contact for help.

Throught the game I have loved being a politician, I wear my Master Politician tag proudly. I want to assist us and our profession and future politican elite professions become one of the most unique professions any MMO has seen.

Heres an Idea,

How about those that are applying for the job post in this thread the very first thing they will post on the correspondant board.

Note: Woot! im the Political Leet/Uber Correspondent would not be the best start.

Note2: First! Post by new correspondant also not going to get good marks.

Next as this is the Politician Board I think it fair that we run this like a term of office. If you get nothing done in the first month we get to vote for a new correspondant.

Hehe best time to nominate yourself for the job is when they announce the next Poli Publish. Although Publish 9 brings us Player City Mission's so you can take that as something you achieved as correspondant in your first month. LOL if they are not bugged.

You'll have a lot of turnover on politician corrs if you vote them out when they don't get something done in a month. I have been marksman corr for about five now and I'm still waiting on ever seeing /aim2 implemented. Its not that I'm not talking about it. I'm just not coding it. Neither are any of the other corrs.

As far as their first post to the corr board...that would be fun! Most new corrs stare with a dazzled look in their eyes and promptly insert their foot into their ownmouth. I'd love to see what they think they'll say first...

Ill take the bait on this one although, Im sure the corrrespondant boards are not all that exciting. what i would do first is read though some old posts and then see if i had any questions for Thunder or Jester about the GCW revamp wich seems to be where we might get some love.

When i interned at the FAA and got my security clearance the first thing i did was check out the computer network. Nothing exciting at all (that i had access to)

I also must admit that I think the idea fo running this in such a way to allow the voting out and replacement of correspondents regularly wouldn't be good for the politician community, and that SOE wouldn't really like to deal with that either.

As for what I'd post I work hard first on getting some kind of feedback from TH, and getting other correspondents involved. Working with and defining our issues for the GCW revamp is the key issue right now and I've already tried to lend a hand in polishing this up into something easily legible. This would likely continue to be my primary focus, and I would try to relate key politician issues, (kinda like I did withcity chat here) to this GCW revamp as much as possible. I feel it is vital we work with the other correspondents who are currently getting attention in order to get the issues we would like addressed... I can see many other opportunities for us to do thesame with other professions as well, and will try to begin pursuing them as well.

Feels kind of weird nominating myself lol but I would like to do so.

I will supply you with a little background history of myself and why I believe I can become a good corrospondent.

I joined the SWG community 8 months before launch and followed it with my PA, the PA was OoD and made home on the Chilastra server when the game launched.

I was able to enter beta and I quickly fell in love again with the game and knew it was something I would stick with.

The PA I was in, OoD, disbanded after our leader and his council left and we split into a few different PA's. At that time I moved to Tempest, it had opened 2 days earlier, and I quickly made home there with many of my friends from OoD. I started a PA known as AeroTech and the day that cities came out I had Aero City put up on Corellia.

My friend Mikesterg hosted the Mayor seat with his second account Joan which I controlled, we are r/l friends and he allowed me to run the city through Joan. After Mikesterg left I became the Mayor of Aero City with my main character and I have loved it ever since.

I host pvp events and pve events as well as cantina parties and contests in my city/pa and enjoy every minute of it while I try to always better myself and the City.

I believe I can serve you all well as the Corro and help with the Politican Profession's Development.

I also spend at least 3 hours a day, and up to 7,on the forums and ingame. I am willing to learn and listen to the Community and I wish to server you all well.

Id have to second Mmrl1.

Ik now him in game, and he is really a very helpful and kind guy.. He does what he can for you when you need him and doesnt ever get angry or freak out. He is a good clan leader, I am currently in the clan he leads. and i think he would do a great job as the politician correspondent.

Anyway I just thought it would be best to get my two cents in..and there there are..
so pick Mmrl1

Vespasian is a great guy. I run the largest Imperial guild on Tempest, and Vespasian runs another one and the city it is in near mine. Very well run, very nice city with a great layout, and the guy helps out everyone else whenever he gets a chance.

I would like to cast my vote for mmrl1 (Vespasian). I have enter acted with him on several occasions. I am a master merchant and although I am a rebel have done business with Vespasian. He has sent business my way and helped build a sense of community for me.

He is easy to talk to and keeps his word, which is important in business deals. He knows allot of people and he takes time to help others.
