I want to thank Plinka and the Politician Correspondent Forum for doing such a great job inhelping us identify the cryptic blackhole thats been threatening your cities. The center of player cities is migrating slowly, but only about 2 meters every48 hours. Some cities may experience some very minor voting dips this next cycle, but they will be minimal.

The solution for this is on Test Center now and will be fixed in the new publish early next week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but thisshouldn't have any severe effects.

Don't make the mistake of trivializing these types of bugs.

It is dangerous to you, and every time you do it, you loose some credibility when you come back and have to say, yes, it ws worse than we thought (e.g., the Hungry Hungry Item Eating Vendors of Doom).

On a smaller scale can you also hot fix the Tat PA halls??? Total eye sore for generic and the cost of it just isn't worth it with all the other maint. fees going on. Would really appreciate hot fixes but now we're probably looking at Tuesday... ouch... wonder how many other cities will lose levels and no PA hall....

I feel this is VERY Severe... I do not understand why you don't think so? Politician only way to get EXP is to get from votes... when people losing a whole row of houses that is a lot of votes.. unless politician can get exp from other means.. then it might be "so severe"

Also.. a few (more like a lot ) of people been posting losing cloning center and banks (both are tied to hall) and even losing their hall.. this will cause a set back (especially if you are raising the cap) this would remove the chance people who already place weeks before and have to start over AGAIN!

Since there is a cap on how many people can place things.. this does not make any sense... please send out the hotfix asap.... before more people losing stuff... and a note.. it is VERY severe...

(unless you can personally promise to replace EVERYTHING that people have lost due to this bug.

My city is officially defunct... we dropped enough citzens with the shift so that we no longer have enough even for outpost

there is no way it was only 2 m every 48... my city hall had the outskirts of the city inside it!!!!

that is what is supposed to be 200m away. - we have instead decided because of this issue to consolidate with another city that we are good friends with . I wish you all luck in getting the fix - but as for me and mine... we surrender to the devestation of our city >_<

ps any one else lose their PA hall along with their cloning centres and bank?

Still no comment from the Dev's about this "trivial" issue!
I'm getting real mad now.

No serious effects? Excuse me?

Due to this shifting we lost our Cloning Ctr on Monday, I put in a ticket - still no answer.

I can't replace it either as we're still being accounted for it and being charged for it.

And when I try to replace it it says: "Only one structure of this type is allowed."

No serious issues.. hmm... I'm sorry but I think this *is* a serious issue.

Any official replies from the Devs on this?

Fix this ASAP.

Greetings to you all,

Allow me to introduce myself ... manners first. I am Luminary Ahn Sukki of Freedom Alliance, and Mayor of Mos Veros, first Mayor of Kauri. Pleasure to meet you all.

Boy, this player city thing sure has become quite the adventure, dont you all agree? I know I have spent countless hours pulling my lekku here. Not only am I going through the aches and pains that you all are experiencing, but I am also flooded with tells from other Mayors on Kauri, as though because my being the first Mayor, I have all the answers. (Thanks SOE, LOL) Although Im very flattered, unfortunately it just isnt the case. I am just as up in the air as everyone else here. However, let me offer some comfort, if I can, to each of you.

To all my fellow Mayors, and frustraited citizens. Try to have patience. Yes yes, I know it is very difficult to do when you see everything you worked for either disappear or not function properly. I understand that at the moment you cant get your structures back that have been lost. Im so sorry for you, truly. But, assuming that these bugs wont be fixed immediately, lets try and do this:

1.) Try to build your future buildings as close to your Center as possible. I know that wasnt the plan, but lets think ahead a bit. Speak with your Urban Planner. Try to plan around the shifting.

2.) Keep sending in those tickets! Send send and send! Report those bugs! Keep strong and do not yeild! If we ALL voice it, and keep voicing it, and not yeilding from it .. someone HAS to hear us. Im with you!

Above everything else guys ... hang in there! We just have to pull together and just keep trying to be heard. Dont give up. Be constructive!

Now, for the Devs ... come on guys .. you hear there concerns. You see whats happening. These good people have put a lot of Real World time and money into this. Sure, its a game, but its extremely frustrating! When these things start to fall apart, it gets very disheartening, and makes you want to throw in the towel! I have already had a few friends go back to playing their previous game before they started SWG. I think if this issue is not addressed, and ASAP, then you are going to see many other players do the same. Everyone appreciates the work that the DEVS put into it. Hours of coding must be very difficult, but please ... make these priorties:

1.) Stop the shifting!

2.) Make the money transfer correctly .. treasury is being over charged.

3.) Reimburse people for the lost structures and money

4.) Fix the blooming EXP POINT bug ... I would personally like to get my exp when the votes are tallied!

I have to agree with all my fellow Mayors and citizens out here ... this STINKS! Please get out the Lysol and clean the air will ya? I love the Politician Skill. But watching the mess that has been created here is just ... well, its disappointing. I know we arent the only class to complain about bugs and problems. But we deserve to be heard. The issues we are suffering dont just affect us .. they effect the communities that we are trying to build. It affects us Mayors, our citizens, our allies, and yes, even our enemies! The potential for player cities is grand ... but at the moment it is the equivalant of being stranded in a 3rd World trailer park! Nothing works! WE NEED YOUR HELP! WE NEED YOU TO HEAR US!! WE NEED THESE SOLVED!! HEAR US!!

Good luck everyone! Hang in there! And know, Im with you! May the Force be with you, even you Imps!

Please describe what's happening. Is it because you arent going to have enough people this vote?

this is hotfix material..

Thats a seperate issue.

I hear you

I wouldnt say we think this is trivial. There is a different perspective from what devs see and what you see and its my job to bring those two persepctives. If you bring the information to me, I will bring it inside, which I have.

Im looking into each of these issues now so I can get you some information. Ill post as soon as I have something concrete.

What I'd like to know is if the fix just stops the move or puts the city back to its starting point... if it just stops the shift then a lot of people will have to work around shifting their cities

I love when there is a total mishap with the game you guys downplay it to effecting nobody. You and blair have done this several times and have always had to eat those words after. Please do not assume things. Just because you are not aware of them does not mean there are not severe effects. I would say people losing cloning centers and their ENTIRE CITY is a severe effect. For you to say there are none is a slap in the face to all those who feel they are indeed dealing with severe effects.

What about those of us that can't even make an outpost now because we are recieving a message that the planet has reached its maximum amount of cities? So much for unlimited outposts. Lied to yet again

TH, the problem is that the Devs don't seem to see what is going on in the game.

Think about how the player city cap was reached in minutes - yet you and the Devs professed you didn't see it coming.

These new /citywarn changes? How can you in any good faith say you didn't see what was going to happen?

These issues just keep happening - and proves that a) the Devs are very out of touch with the players, how they play the game, and what they enjoy, and b) that the players are not being listened to.

These /citywarn things were predicted the moment the design went up for public viewing.

You have to understand that patience only lasts so long.

The Devs really need to wake up and prioritize based on what players need/want.

We are trying desperately to have fun - while the Dev team wastes time putting system in-game, taking them out, and messing around with things that don't enhance the enjoyment of SWG, just make it more tedius and about the opposite of fun.

don't forget about the ignorance involved with the vendor bug...it doesn't effect everybody so we don't need to announce it outside of the forums stance...
