I would say the whole Galactic Senate idea as an FRS for politicians, I think we should have different specializations or somehting as simple as this

we need a advanced playlevel for politicians - how borring it may sound, it could mean alot - RP and a perhaps posible effect on the war aswell ... who knows... the idears are endless, if we stop just thinking of our "small" towns and start to gasp a larger picture.. besides, ain't we all tired of travis/victor always winning the bestine election?

As others have said, I would like to add Spy Net operatives to go along with my player city BH terminal. With the current system, my BH citizens go to corellia where the spynet is 6m from the terminal to get thier missions...


Bazaar/Vendor search terminal. the keyword is search... you can only get WP for said items.No Purchasing power..


Asother professions (combat mainly) I would like to see some Improved skills to previously earned. You are a master, you should get a 5% bonus to say Improved job market or Research, as examples. (I know we discussed city specialaztion before but with the current system, anything for the crafting community is pretty shot. An entertainer buff is as good as paying for the research facility spec... my city agreed to drop research due to that reason...) give something to say Hey this mayor can do this for us.... you get the idea..


Starship Repair/Equip terminal. - only access to the components of your ship so you can swap out new parts you buy or get repaired by your city Ship Wright... you will not be able to generate a ship, you will not be able to board the ship.... I know I hate going back and forth the starport to get my new ship just right....when you buy a new toy


As some mayors get flustered over this. The ability to turn a house that got placed wrong. I have gone through my town and wished the person would have turned it 90' to the right to be in line with the rest of the people. With the pack/unpack option coming up, maybe the master politician can get an option to get the placement screen once the command is intiiated to turn the house.

Just two comments.

About bazaars: The idea is similiar to Perill's. A poltician can buy a deed for a vendor. For a master radial option makes it possible to convert it to a trade agent. If it is a droid it is called "Trade Agent Droid Deed", if a terminal "Trade Agent Terminal Deed" and otherwise simply "Trade Agent Deed". It cannot be converted back.
It can be placed just as any other terminal or NPC (trainer) by a master politician. The agent work exactly like a bazaar, except in the auction tab is no "local" region (it was greyed out), there is no "available items" tab and there is no "my sales tab". The default view is "vendor search" -> "local", which enables to browse all vendors in buildings within the city.

About faction recruiter: This is not a master politician skill. Instead one can buy factional garden from a recruiter for a considerable amount of fp. A small factional garden comes with erm... a nice (or impressive) look. A medium factional garden comes with a recruiter. A large factional garden comes with a recruiter, two terminals and 3 or for combatant NPCs. They do not add up to the war standing, but their price is in the same range as bases.

A master politician might also have the ability to "freeze" certain event perks. They would work as any event perk, but as long as they are in posession of a master politician and placed inside his city their timer doesn't count down.
PS: Erm, not all even perks - only those that make sense to be used unlimited.

my ideas (even if some are redundant)

- City maintenance cost reduction !

- Ability to set an information terminal for the city (like any other terminal) so that you could make some "messages of the day" for the city... Possibility to add some news (up to 10 let's say) like email interface.
--> local news about what to hunt, what ressource to look for, what ennemies, what's going on in the city, etc...

And you can set it everywhere you want (one per city), so near the shuttleport, or near mission terminals : where people are !

- "Mayor" title is sweet instead of master politician.

- Faction recruiter would be a good idea, but only if
* only one can be set by town
* only inside the cityhall

- Possibility to turn some "even perk decorations" as permanent in towns.
Would be like classical city decorations and cost the same as classical city decorations
Like flags, or every static decorations.
Maybe even NPC actors to be used as the "message of the day" giver if we can't get the city information terminal i was talking about previously... And if we are able to customize them more than only cloths (maybe ID customisation option if we find an ID) and if we are able to change their text.

I had an event in which a DEV came and placed one of each faction recruiters in my town. I was told faction recruiters would not become part of mayor powers because of the possibility of griefing.


I still don't understand how they can be used for griefing, but that is what I was told.

Maybe at the old "overt/covert/tef" time...

The mayor removes the recruiter to prevent someone he doesn't like to get back covert while 10 ennemies are outside waiting for him....

If you limit faction recruiters to ONE and only inside the cityhall, i don't see what grieffing there can be...

Since cityhall are always public to anyone, that you can't be banned from a cityhall and that recruiters doesn't shoot on sight (and can't be attacked)

For the one year anniversary of our town, pex gave us 2 recruiters : one in front of cityhall and another in front of the cloning center. That wasn't grieffing for anyone and allowed us getting overt again after beegin killed by some unwanted power rangers

I like this idea as well. More so of the ability to place structures in the city and have the city fund them not just cantinas or hospitals but include all structures. Houses and stuff could be dropped ahead and when people move in just transfer them the house. Factories could also be done this way and the mayor could off thier use to the citizens.
