Roger, there are few things in the game which cause more hassles than this

Wish my old guild would have read this, before assuming I could magically resign, and when I told them I couldn't to start calling me names. They demanded I resign. (shakes head) Sorry I'm not a Dev it's not in my powers.

Wow, more misinformation from the one and only Princess of Lies!
Shame on us for not reading it, but shame on you for agreeing to it knowing full well that it couldn't happen and making people believe you could. Would ya like me to post the links to the posts that you have openly agreed to doing so over the last two months? I suppose not since you wouldn't know the truth if it jacked you in your 3rd chin!

that is probably due to your padding your vote count with absentee votes and non sanct member votes and ghost votes.
it is amazing that 1 month ago you declared the house tax was taken off (it was at 50%) because the last empty house was gone. And now your blaming the "extra" votes you get on empty houses. surely we didnt have a mass exodus a month ago that no one but you noticed?

I can't believe how OBVIOUS that it is that a Mayor should be able to simply resign.

/sign for me and Dazlin
Mayor Dazlin of Europa, Naboo on Eclipse would like to resign. He no longer enjoys the game the way he used to and is looking for new adventures in EQ2. I do however enjoy the game and won't be leaving anytime soon. I enjoy the freeform style of play that SWG offers. I would love to pick up the heavy burden with my alt Faelan and make Europa even more successful. Unfortunately, I may not be able to do so thanks to all the votes he will be getting from inactive players who dumped millions in their houses, then left without notifying anyone.
At least give mayors the option to switch off this "feature" so that if a person doesn't vote at all, nobody actually gets that vote. As it is now, it feels like a cheap trick from SOE to ensure that mayors keep their accounts alive for the sake of the city. Dazlin -will- keep his account alive if he has to. The city won't crumble overnight. But what good is it going to do us having a mayor who will only drop by briefly once a week to check up on things? I predict a slow decay as more people either leave the game or find new places with active mayors. Few people would want to move in for sure, except perhaps hermit crafters who wants to take advantage of Europa being a research center and having a shuttleport, but don't want to actually run into people while tending their factories. I could change that. I could get things moving. If only SOE would give me the keys to the office and let our current mayor gracefully resign while he is still enjoying a good reputation.
Thanks for listening!
