This feature is so needed it is not funny. Our old mayor is a good friend of mine and also my guild leader. He did not want to be mayor anymore and it took us asking for weeks. Finnally we had to go to cross server help to get him removed. We had a bunch of people from another server come in. Our guild architect made a whole bunch of small houses which we put in place for them. They asked me to keep maint up on them but I let them just turn to rubble as they did not play on our server and I did not want it to be so hard to leave myself.
I am now going up the FS lines and would really like my SP's so I am trying to put my alt into office. Again if I could resign it would make it easier than hoping that people remember to vote all of the time.

We've been trying to vote out the old mayor in Paradise Cove Naboo (Ahazi)for 2 months now. Maybe we should start another thread about cities needing help and ppl can create alts, or move for a couple days to help other cities in need of votes. Our mayor wants out and we can either vote her out or she's going to pull the city hall and dump polititan. We do not want to lose our city and we can't get the votes. WE are 10 shy as it stands, so close yet so far away... /sigh

I hope someone reads this but if not guess it is just a vent.
I find it quite sad, even alittle disturbing thatalmost all of the efforts of the developers of SWG are being centered around a proffesion that was supposed to be rare. I often read about a complaint that the "Jedi" have and within a very short time they have a fix or a revamp. What about those of us that have absolutly nodesire to be "Jedi"and began playing with the impression that all of our needs would be met, not just those of a proffesion that was said to be as rare asMandalorian armor..or was that the other way around? Mandalorianarmor was to be as rare as the Jedi?Well they got the Mandalorian part rightanyway.
There are cities by the dozen around our galaxy that do not even have a Mayor anymore.. and with theMayorgone most of the residents followed. How is one to run against a Mayor that does not exist and gain votes from a populace that also does not exist? These empty cities, that will take what 6 months to disapear, count against the player city limit of a planet.
We have new players coming in that would like to join an active player city, or build one of there own. Or like myself, My mayor and 80% of the residents of my town left SWG for another game (they also had no desire to be Jedi and were tired of sticking it out hoping someone would come to there senses and make this fun for the regular player) Now my guild is stuck trying to find and new place to settle because there is no way for me to win the election for Mayor.
I have hunted literally for 4 days for a possible place for us to build..I have run accross many abandoned cities as my own, and have yet to find a place on a primary or secondary planet suitable to build on.
I pay my hard earned money to play this game..there are many out there to choose from and I choose SWG. I would like to feel like all of the money my husband and I have spent to enjoy SWG since launchhas not been wasted. Will our plees ever be heard?
Why are City Halls left standing for so long after an account is canceled or simply not renewed? Please give us a way for new Mayors to step in and put life back into SWG. There is not much left for the Non Jedi player, atleast give us the ability to make it fun..otherwise what is the point in playing?

In the nicest possible way... forget Jedi for just 24 man hours and get the /resign and /transfermayor options in game ASAP!
