Thread: Strange Guild Terminal Bug

Hi,
This just happened AGAIN to another one of m y guildies. We both sent in ti ckets about it again. Defiler Savir is my guildies name affected this time.
We REALLY need this bug tracked down and fixed. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened in the guild using the guild terminal or w/e. He just logged on today to find he was not in the guild.

ok, i didn't read through all the post, but the same happened to me today. as i logged on today i find out that i am not any longer guild leader and member of my guild. insted someone called "species" is guild leader, but isn't a member of the guild. i was able to check that with my alt.
i tried to accept myself to the guild again, with the help of my alt. the dialog sponsored for membership doesn't include my name, but shows "species" again. if i try to decline the acceptance, the messages show up correctly, but "species" remains in that sponsored for membership dialog.
i'm quite puzzled about this... oh yes, and i already submitted a ticket. no response so far though.

yesterday a guildie was jokeing about how to see your guild rankg with /guildr and someone did it now i'm cheecking the sponsed list ( dont know how) and species is on it what sould we do

We have also had 2 people within the last few days kicked. I've notified the guild of the problem. I'll let everyone know we're trying to find a clue as to what the bug is. We have been trying to elect a new guild leader for a few months now, and it just wont work. I know thats another bug, or at least I've been told. But I dont think its related as we've had an issue with that for much longer than this bug that kicks people.

I was having issues with my guild chat not working at all so was filing csr tickets every day about it and getting little suggestions the last one they gave me was to delete my profile from the starwars game file and restart the game. That's when I was suddenly removed from the guild. It wouldn't bother me nearly as much if I were not the guild leader.

Good news is, deleting your profile folder on your hard drive didn't cause the bug, that just effects your UI/Macro settings by resetting them all to default. Just an odd coincidence that it happened right after.
If anyone in the guild has the ability to sponsor besides yourself, they can add you back. Your name will just show up as "species" until this is fixed. You may or may not have permissions in the guild unfortunately though, but at least you'd be able to use guild chat.

Well this bug is still ingame a member was just removed with no help.
I'm leader and recieved no message of his removal, and when I went to add him only species was there. Also his name does not appear in guild list nor can he enter any guild only buildings.
Is there any update to this?

Just that they are working to figure it out. It's a random bug which means you can't reproduce it and fix it easily.

Had a guild mate decline species acceptance in the guild which moved the guild leaders name to null. after that I had them sponsor and accept me into the guild and I was back in as the guild leader. Not sure if this is an actual fix or not but it seems to be holding up so far.

Same thing happened to my character on Kauri, just 3 days after I'd returned from a 9 month abscence.
Logged off, everything was normal, logged on, wasn't in guild. Sent a tell to my guild leader, he responsored me, and I came up as Species, and he couldn't accept me.I also couldn't see what he was saying in Spatial, at the time, don't know if it was related, but seemed an odd coincidence.
Tried creating my own guild, and disbanding it, to see if that would 'reset' me - no dice.
Still guildless today.

Question 1) From what he told me he didn't do much than log out log in and he was removed. I'm going to question him more to get better detail about it and post it here.
Question 2) This is more interesting because we did something a few days before, we had a big roster purge of inactive members. I thought that I had accidentally removed him from the Guild, but when he said that he had been removed on a day I haven't been online and that we haven't recived a mail about it (and also wasn't able to get him back into the guild).
I really hope they'll fix this bug soon as it affects the Guild in such a way, we might call ourselves lucky as only one member have been removed (or at least I hope so).
I'm going to investigate more on what have happened and what you can do to fix it during the day. I'm also going to try and invite species to see if this member get back into the guild.

I invited this "Species" who is in the Sponsored list. It got the lost member into the guild and he's able to use the GuildChat once more.
I also checked the Member's Roster and his name is also listed.
