Thread: Strange Guild Terminal Bug
Happened to Delta on Corbantis. We lost a guildmember and now we have a guy named 'species' on the sponsored list. The guildleader in our case can't do any personel managementAT ALL. He can't even accept the sponsorship on 'species' nor add anyone at all...
We did hold a guildleader election recently in responce to all the 'Guild Leader has not logged in since Jesus was born' spam...
We are pretty screwed at the moment.
So Customer Service CAN help in this case by clearing the sponsored player list.

File a ticket with a CSR and see what they tell you. Another person said a CSR was able to remove species from the list and it was fixed.

Customer Service was uselss, generic copy and past answer and CLOSING MY TICKET WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
His response was as follows
Thank you for contacting SOE. This is CSR-HenryG at your service today. I am very sorry that you can not add your friend to the admin list.... yadda yadda yadda
Then he goes on to say that guild terminals are not working at this time (huh, I accpeted a different member 5 minutes later) Please delete this ticket and open a new one if you require further assistance on this issue.
1. I'm not trying to add him to the admin list.
2. Terminals ARE working, we've been adding new members 2 to 3 times a week since the CU and RoTW launch
3. Killing my avenue of communication is poor form and this guy should be reprimanded.
So as far as what E-Lan did, I couldn't guess.
Guild actions prior to this would have included automatically opened elections, closing the elections, and member managment type stuff (sponsoring and accepting members)
I'm going to try another ticket.
Ok, the bug is back - sort of. "Species" has reappeared on our list of sponsored characters.
This may be a dumb question, but since some of the people in this thread have said a CSR helped (I don't think my guildies ever got responses before), I'm going to file a ticket, but I don't know what category to put it in.
Is there a good category to put the ticket in? Or does it not really matter?
The "species" thing seems like the guild list functions are reading the character database entry improperly.
Character_first_name:"character", Character_last_name:"name",species;,guild_status:, (etc.)
But instead of reading "character first name" and "character last name" the guild list function is reading "species:"
That's fairly obvious. The question is, where is the error? Is it in the character loading function? The server shutdown/server loadingprocess? Any of the guild functions?
Tough to track down, and it doesn't seem to be happening often.
This is the guild leader of me (the original poster), just to let you know.

Hi,
This just happened AGAIN to another one of m y guildies. We both sent in ti ckets about it again. Defiler Savir is my guildies name affected this time.
We REALLY need this bug tracked down and fixed. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened in the guild using the guild terminal or w/e. He just logged on today to find he was not in the guild.
