Thread: Status of Pistoleer Specials
Oh don't worry, they will be sure to push their supposed combat balance back further to make room for their nifty eye candy props like holo-emotes, a waste of time. Though I do find it funny that this push back on Mandalorian armorin favor of Image Designer's usefulnesscomes right aftera release that SOE wants to talk with women in the SanFran Bay area to get together and do a study on women playing SWG.
Hmmm coincidence ... I think not.
Well at least we have 2, better than none...

I just posted thisin another thread, but realised that it is more appropriate in this one. Here is hgow i see our specials.
If our specials actually delivered the right damage to speed then having redundant specials is nothing to moan about, you just get them at different points in the trees... If they were all working correctly we would have:
- 1 Fan AOE Random HAM (Fan Shot)
- 1 Ranged 360 AOE Random HAM (MTPS)
- 1 Point Blank 360 AOE Random HAM (PB Area 2) (Supersedes PB Area 1)
- 1 Ranged Single Target Random HAM Damage (Stopping Shot) (Supersedes Double Tap)
- 1 Point Blank Single Target Random HAM Damage (PB Single 2) (Supersedes PB Single 1)
- 1 Single Target Targeted HAM Damage (Bodyshot 3) (Supersedes BS 1 and 2)
- 1 Single Target Targeted HAM Bleed (Healthshot 2) (Supersedes Healthshot 1)
- 1 Close Range KD (Pistol Melee Defense 2) (Supersedes PMD 1)
- 1 Lair Damage Shot (With anirrelevant name, and an unwantedAOE) (Disarming Shot 2) (supersedes Disarming shot 1)
If it wasn't for the fact that all the ranged shots are better at point blank than their point blank counterparts making point blank attacks worthless, that several of these don't deal appropriate amounts of damage over time and that several just don't work or are badly named thats a reasonable spread of specials.
To make this actually the case we would need:
- The point blank shots to give huge defence bonuses at point blank while being used
- The random ham shots to do significantly more damage than targeted ham shots
- The targeted ham shot to do more damage than the targeted bleed shot
- PMD2 to do a KD
- MTPS to actually hit all targets in the AOE consistantly for good damage
- Disarming shot to be re-named Lair Shot
Having actually looked through the list at what these specials should be according to what they do (or pretend to do, or their lower level equivelants do), our specials list is quite sensible, no? It just needs 6 repairs...

Maybe hey should move the TKM profession out of the game and transfer it to the Matrix online. when do you ever see hand to hand combat in the Star wars movies which this game was orginally based on but has seem to taken many different turns. the only Hand to hand combat i remeber is C3PO smacking on R2D2 all the time.
Episode 1: There was a gungan in the background struggling with a battle droid, trying to steal his gun....Sebulba also knocks Jar Jar around a little.
Episode 2: Obi vs. Jango, when they both lose their weapons (why Jango didn't use those gauntlet spikes, or why Obi-Wan didn't just use the force to push Jango to the ground, I don't know....). Padme also struggles with a Geonosian
Episode 3: I think Anakin will be showing a bit of wife abuse, but he might just use the force, since he will probably hurt his fist and cry if he punches with it ![]()
Episode 4: When Chewy picks up the Imperial and tosses him when entering the front room of the prison chambers ![]()
Episode 5: Chewy throws a couple stormies around in the carbon chamber Chewy also chokes Lando....
Episode 6: Han solo fights with a stormtrooper shortly after arriving on Endor. Luke also throws a stormtrooper off his bike....Ewoks probably started using their hands and feet when they dropped their sticks and stones...Chewy also throws the Imperial off of the AT-ST....Chewy likes to toss people around ![]()
There were also background characters in all the movies...we don't know everything about them ![]()

OK im confused.
The description for Fan Shot says: This ranged attack can hit a single target multiple times with your pistol.
If that is the case why is it doing AOE???

Thanks for the info on the bugs. I am master pistoleer and kept wondering why I keep dying and aren't doingmuch damage...lol I will try to keep master until it is fixed but sometimes I'm like a little kid on a trip (are we there yet? are we there yet?)
