You're review was excellent and exact. I'm coming from the commando line, and the the DPS on pistols is seriously wacked. I mean obviously I cant walk around with a Dx2 and Nuke things like a flame thrower but one would expect the speed to have increased somewhere. I have master marskman to beef up my speed already but once I went straight Pistoleer line of skills I noticed there is No Improvement, it's like being a slightly more flexable Master Marksman with a only marginal ability to dodge. I have to agree with all of the above said on the DX2, it is supposed to be a Elite Skill tree Weapon, but is Sub-par compared to the Scout Blasters and FWG5(even after its nurf). Plus the Range modifiers for this Acid spewing Supposed AP1 weapon are awful, you have more chance of hitting them with a CDEF pistols at 7m. It's that or the range mod's for it are 'not working as intended'. Overall I've made pistoleer 2-2-2-2 and I'd think that at my current level there should be an obvious 'step up' or variation of damage vs HAM used per skill but it's just absent.. not even there. Also, w/o having heard much on the topic of a weapons overhaul/rebuild I can't help but admit that after I finish the road of the Pistoleer I'm going to move onto a more worthy Elite skill tree, possable Rifleman. Commando is great if you just want to walk around and nuke thing's, butI really expected more out of the Pistoleer tree, and 'I just don't feel it', I guess.

Thanks for all the hard work bro. Now if we can just get some love from the devs. Pistoleer really needs fixing. There is just not a lot of incentive to climbing the trees, because almost everything is broken or does not give you a real advantage in the game. Thanks again for putting a lot of time into stating our problems that well.

So far a dev has yet to comment on this post. Hopefully this is a sign that they read it and are using all their resources to make the changes (lol). I find thier lack of input..........disturbing.

great great post, I only PRAY they aren't going to ignore our profession ( although I fear the worst and they are too worried about adding paint effects to vehicles to distract us ).


I have stuck with pistoleer in hopes they will fix it, and well... I dont wantto be like everyone else and flock to the latest flavor of the month ( rifleman for pvp ).


Anyway, I think I would be fine if they ignored all the broken specials except 2 -Multitarget shot and more importantly DISARMING SHOT 2 !!!


Like someone else suggested, add a bleed effect or better cone effect or something to Multitarget. But the kicker is Disarm 2. If they could make this a worthwhile PVP special it would be so worth it. Then, it would help the "Dabbler" effect and make master pistol something worth while.

Disarm 2:


Make this target the Action Pool, and add some sort of state effect. Targeting Action dmg may not be the best BUT, at least we could target another pool.


OR


Actually DISARM the opponent. It could either simply require the opponent to re-equp his/her gun or make them simply unable to attack for like 5 seconds. A move like this could be overpowering so I would add a timer so we coulnd not spam it. Or maybe give it a knockdown effect ( also with a timer to the special ).


If they made these 2 moves worthwhile, it would fix the profession. IMO fixing the other specials ( stopping shot, body shot 3 etc ) is dangerous because it would only FUEL the dabbling.


Another idea i had was moving a couple of the +defenses to the marksmanship line ( which is never taken other than masters ).


A "Cool" Idea I had... instead of Fixing the dodge animation... what about giving us a really damaging Counter attack, that we could activate ( by pressing the special ) when we dodge?


Once again though I stress...FIX THE MASTER PISTOLEER SPECIALS! Then, it will be a profession worth mastering!

Philosopher that is an awesome report. You nailed every bug and error on the head. DEVS PLZ PAY ATTENTION, we are crying out to you but what do you do, you go fix other professions. WHAT ABOUT US, from day one we have been bugged, nearly from day one we have cried out for help, from day one we have payed you $15 a month, from day one you continue to do nothing. We have told you what needs to be done, you have a resource of ideas to go with, now do something, we don't pay to play a broken game, we pay to play a game that will reward us for grinding our professions in hopes to get master and actually be able to put up a fight against all the other professions you have fixed. Right now I can't win a duel with pistoleer against anyone, why because my skills SUCK, and they are all broken, I get publicly humilated and laughed at by NOOBS, I am beginning to get afraid of deuling a noob for fear of some novice skill they have that actually works. PLZ HELP, wait, I am tired of saying plz, we have said plz from day one, JUST FREAKING HELP, DO SOMETHING WITH THAT MONEY WE GIVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

i would like to add a few things. 1. i think we should be able to use all pistol weapons. (this is a pistol elite class). and the 2. this is a maybe and i dont no how this would work , but i think we should get the option for a two weapon fighting style, the option to use 2 weapons at the same time.

Personally I'll leave the stats to the anoraks and the paranoid, what I would like to see most of all with the Pistoleer is,


Dual Pistols.


Afterall we are supposed to be Gunslingers.


Oh and by the way how come master pistoleers cant use the scatter pistol? Is it not a Pistol then?
