I hate you pistoleer crybabies. Kill yourselves.
Woot, another useless, pointless, and stupid post from an idiotic BH. Go back to your board unless you have something constructive to post please.

Your EQ comparison doesn't apply. In fact, EQ is the worst example you could've brought up For example, epic weapons. There are a ton of Warrior only or Ranger only stuff in the game. You're not comparing classes, you're comparing weapons. Same thing applies here. Scatter Pistol is BH only, and DX2 is Pistoleer only.

Maybe I just don't understand all of this crying over two guns that are both worse than my FWG5.

I used EQ because it's a widely known online game, one of the biggest. And if you read I'm compairing to the question that none of you have been able to answer yet which is why should you, a Bounty Hunter, be better with a Pistol, then a Master of the Pistol's? Why should a Bounty Hunter, someone who doesn't dedicate their time to Pistol knowledge and use,be able to Aim Better and Shoot Fasterwith a weapon that someone else does nothing but exclusively study and use, someone thatis a master in that weapon? Please answer that question, why should you be better as a hybrid in something that I solely mastering in, 4 boxes for you makes you better then 17 boxes from me.

OMG you're pulling out "day 1er" credentials already??lol

On your other suggestion, I have mastered 2 full starter professions, marksman and scout, and I started from day 1! It was cake. Trapping and scouting xp came naturally while I worked on pistol and carbine. Combat came along for the ride. The only two trees I had to "work" at were survival (survival 4 is mean I'll agree) and rifle, because I just hate long range sniping.

I did it because I thought at the start I wanted to be a BH, but after finding out how stupid the implimentation of the profession was I switched (no player bounty system even for overts, master of 3 weapons for no other reason than Sony couldn't think of anything other than investigation and a weapon as BH skills).

Really getting novice BH isn't hard. I'll leave it to others to argue master pistoleer + master other elite vs master BH. I haven't mastered those so I can't say.

Yes, I know, day one stuff is a little premature to pull out. It wasn't that it was "difficult" to achieve it was just time consuming.

Scouting exp did come naturally. Trapping was a cakewalk "Kima and glowy traps". Survival made me want to kill everything I could see. Though I got to do a Godfather Marathon because of it.

Now here's the kicker.. Even though you claim that getting to Novice BH is a cakewalk think for a second. For pistoleer you master Pistol tree. You can even do Scouting to get Exploration IV while working on Pistol. In possibly one day I can Master pistol skill and get novice Pistoleer. Try getting Novice Bounty hunter in 1 day.

In fact try getting Bounty hunter in less then a weeks time. Really, honestly, this topic is getting silly.

Yes the BH may be a broken class right now, but wait till they fix it. Wait till the LLC actually does the damage a heavy weapon should do.

Just remember you Master Pistoleers can go on to become Master Medics. Us bounty hunters are lucky to even put together a lousy stimpack.

I suppose BHs should have no BH specific weapons. LLC should becommando and scatter pistol should be pistoleer. Why should we, despite our requirements have anything remotely special. Ill use an FGW5 for the rest of my career I suppose. Makes sense. /sarcasm off.

Sarcasm aside, this Bounty Hunter poses an excellent question. Why should a Bounty Hunter get a BH specific weapon? I was always under the impression that Bounty Hunters were more focused on being 'Jack of All Trades' because they never knew what skills or weapons they might need to get them out of a jam, or take down an elusive mark. They might have focused on their personal weapons of choice, but those were personal choices, and as individual as the Bounty Hunters themselves. Be it a custom EE3 carbine, or a chromed set of Naboo style pistols.

Can anyone point to a single weapon all BHs in the movies used? Did they ALL use the exact same Carbine, or chromed pistols? Of course not. To use a REAL WORLD *gasp!* example, as has become so popular in this thread, so all REAL WORLD*gasp!* Bounty Hunters use a Luger, even though many police officers have switched to a Glock 10mm, and the US Armed Forces have gone to 9mm? Of course not. Some use revolvers, others use Czech 9mm, some use semi-auto Colt .45s, and so on and so on.

So the sarcastic question becomes a serious one, guaranteed to make BH blood boil(or so it would seem). Why do Bounty Hunters need a unique weapon certification for just them? I'd say they don't. They should instead get weapon certs up to Master Marksman, and then be given specials that only they can use.

Heeeey. What do you know. They already have those specials. How convenient.

Janus_Kedan,

That's exactly the kind of thing that I thought bounty hunters would be. Going into this I figured that Ranger/CH would be the master of surviving outdoors, BH would be the master of surviving the cities and battlefields while hunting down his mark. That would mean using any weapon at hand (melee, ranged, genade, whatever was needed), getting more out of a weapon than a normal soldier would (specific specials, maybe a form of BH specific weapon splicing), being able to field repair their gear nearly indefinitely, able to pilot any ship in the galaxy (once those were in), and being able to find anyone PC or NPC given enough time.

Sadly Sony saw it as a set of unique weapons and an investigation tree.

And as far as BH...in my opinion its the easiest combat class to master, and in my opinion all the whiny little bastards are BHs...people who are afraid of a real profession so they hop on the BH band wagon for underhand shot and that **edit**...well, unless you can shoot for 2.3k you cant kill me with it, and I dont know how many BHs ive killed that complain once ya kill em. " Im gonna gunt you down " umm ok, better bring more then ya did to the duel...so a little later he comes with some friends when im in theed killin imps...well needless to say i owned all 4 of em.

Yes, Bynder, that's what I had hoped as well. I'm sure many of those who heard about BH in SWG hoped for the same thing. Sadly, we have all been let down. If Bounty Hunters had been those things, they would be severly overpowered, but they would be Star Wars Bounty Huntes, and I for one would have no room for complaint.
